That is what leaders do. Leading us to a touchdown in 2 minutes on an injured foot only playing that final drive for real pretty much going 6-9 passing. That is what a heisman caliber player does.

"Weis will not get fired because of me" ----Jimmy Clausen. Stays true to his word.

Unquestioned leader of this team - you can look back and say from that statement on this has been his team. He made a statement and has been accountable to that statement, thats a f*ckin man.

As long as BSPN controls the award, we'll probably never see Jimmy there. College FB is so shady on so many levels these days, its crazy.

Watching him this year, I thought - this guy's fucking special...... Now he showed everybody. They'll deny him because we shouldn't have been put in that position - but bottom line. ND played without their 3 top skilleds - spotted a Big 10 team 4 with 2 or 3 to go, them - with all the mo, one time out, and he took them on is back - he let them know what he was doing (or they should have known) and they couldn't fucking stop him. I love this guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not even going to start a game ball thread for this game. Jimmy gets it hands down!!!!! Not many QBs are proven leaders, we got us a very proven leader!!!

Javid Best fell off the Heisman wagon and so did Jacory Harris. Frankly its Tebow #1, Clausen #2, McCoy #3 imo.

I don't think Tebow has EARNED anything based off this year's performances.

McCoy has looked good, but they haven't really played anyone either.

Clausen has looked great against 3 Big Ten teams and a solid WAC team. This schedule is not nearly as easy as people were saying it was.

Because to the largest sports broadcasting channel on the planet... he is a GOD... (undeserving in my opinion, from a football stand point, kid is tough though.)

...thats awesome you see that...I was looking for something positive in the situation when he trotted (hobbled) out on the field just before the last drive

...all I could come up with was...Jimmy is going to get a chance to pull off a little miracle, and maybe he'll get some love in the Heisman discussion

I don't understand the amount of weight you guys are putting on this games last drive (it was an important clutch performance, no doubt, and a lot of fun to watch, but Jimmy's 14 TD 1 INT 70% and 1400 yards over his last 4 games is what deserves the bulk of the praise).

I just find it funny, that, say, for instance, we don't score that TD on the last drive of the game, Clausen would be "bleh" to most of you.

Clausen is a stud regardless of that last drive today. That last drive only confirmed what we already knew, it wasn't some new revealing revelation about his ability.

Yes sir buddy we've been saying it all along, even the lone interception was a re-adjust and could have been another TD if his timing wasnt thrown off. This guy deserves big time credit for the leader he has become along with the refining of his talent. He may just be the best QB in the country and there are some good ones out there this year.

He is a stud. I have always said that.

I mentioned in the MSU gameday thread and other threads that his injury was more serious than many thought. It changed the entire offense. Geez I hope he can heal soon.

Golden was a monster tonight and it seemed to me he carried the team on his shoulders and both attacked and held off the dogs until Jimmy could perform his heroics.

Game ball to Golden.

One time in band camp, I made an unrevealing revelation.

You may be on to something because when the espn blonde ask him about the injury he just laughed and went on to say how happy he was with his team. My first thought was this guy is hurt and just gutted it out, not wanting anyone to know extent of injury.

That interception would have been caught by Michael Floyd.

The next 2 games will tell if Jimmy gets a Heisman invite or not, USC in particular. Gutsy drive to close out a game will be something for the highlight reel, but he has got to have some gaudy passing stats to be in the mix. McCoy and Tebow's mobility will keep them perceptually ahead of Clausen by the media. Clausen has made some clutch plays, but we have not played a good defense yet. SC is his signature moment. Throw 2-3 TD's and knock them off, he's top 3 no doubt.

Funny how much the polls have bounced around the first few weeks. Think the Heisman predictor makes a huge shift? Nope.

He should be invited this year if he can keep up what he is doing. He had an off game today but only played for 1 quarter and half another.

USC IS GOING DOWN!!!!!!!!

Huh? Give me ONE just ONE reason why you think we are going to beat Usc? Laughing out FUCKING LOUD! Usc is going to MURDER us. Last time I checked.......Yep, we still dont have a defense. We lose to Usc by at least 3 touchdowns.

I said to myself that yeah the ball was underthrown, but Shaq had to become a defensive receiver there and make sure that CB doesn't catch the ball. It comes with experience I guess.

Because its that kind of stuff that sticks out in peoples minds. Yah its nice that you have gaudy stats, but what about those intangibles. The leadership, the toughness.
