This will take expensive therapy - f*cking Republicans need to open up heathcare to all - a lot of people should need therapy after this.

100% agree, but at the same time....charlie didnn't help matters with his play calling when we had the ball with over 2 mins left.

Nope, gotta disagree. when they were stacking the line of scrimmage, i wanted to see us go over top, which we did. Golden was held on his back arm.......... any passs interference? not a damn one. Seriously the most bullshit i have ever seen. Hell if evans would have turned and looked for the ball, 1st down. Not bad play calling, just very very poor officiating.

Worst officiating ever...don't people notice when it's that obvious? How do you call that TD back with no conclusive shots? Where did the time mysteriously dissapear to? Fuckin ridiculous.

put the billboard back up.
i have one of the biggest supporters of weis up until now.we've given him his chance.
but there was absolutely no reason for us to lose this game.
yes,the refs fucked us at the end.no question about it.there should still be 3 seconds left on the clock.
but weis cost us this game. there's no reason to be throwing the ball with the lead and 2 minutes left, especially when AA has been running well.
how many points did we leave on the field?about 20?
im as pissed off and upset as anyone.and i really dont know what to think at this moment.
but i will give michigan credit.forcier is a pretty good qb,especially for a frosh.he will be very good if they can develop him well over the next couple years.

but we should not have lost.

regardless of what you think if charlie, the clock keeper or the referees blew us this game.....we should not have lost it. i agree 100%. now, let's see how much intestinal fortitude this team has with next weeks game. go IRISH!!

I would rather have our offence try and win the game then our defence. It was the right call to throw. Fuck if it was up to me I would have gone 5 wide. Allen was limping off to the sidelines after that first down run very late in the game.

the game feels like a sock in the gut....and Floyd is questionable..defense is alot weaker than thought. darius fleming got punked by a true freshman(twice?) ...what happened to manti?

I even too spent to stick up for Weis....who is still the man in my book..

Just a few friendly reminders:

1.) It's just a game. Yes, I know a lot of you feel passionately for football, and I do too! But to cuss and act like savage animals is sort of ridiculous. It reflects badly on your team, and yourself.

2.) After rewinding and watching in super slo mo on my DVR, it looked as if the ND player in the backfield for the last kickoff-return touched the ball on a bounce. So while Clausen said that a second should be added, there was a brief booth review in which they found that the ND player indeed touched it and that instead of 1 second being taken off the clock, that 2 should be taken off, as another 2 seconds elapsed after the player touched it.

3.) The taunting call against ND was obvious - he was waving the ball in the face of a band member for the other team. That's unsportsmanlike and I'd expect better out of the ND football team, to be honest. However, Michigan kept their celebrating in check (meaning, amongst their players only and behind their white line)

4.) Yes, there were some BS calls made on both sides, but it shouldn't have even gotten that close. Michigan was NOT the favored winner, and the fact that ND lost can't ALL be blamed on the officiating.

I'm wondering that too. Manti was nowhere to be seen in the 2nd half. Don't know what happened. No doubt this loss is going to hurt especially because its to those cocks in ann arbour.

The officiating was criminial. These motherfuckers need to be called out and shot.

I need to spread around more reputation before I hook up NeuteredDoomer......

I hate to sound like im whinning...but damn. On the replay reveral....was there conclusive video evidence to overturn the called play on the field which was TD? I dont want to get started on the holding calls

Allen's heel never hit the ground. There was no taunting. There was no holding. ND never had a chance.

A few notes:

1.) THIS IS A GAME. Yes, it's football. Yes, a lot of you are passionate about your football - I am too! But cussing and acting like savage animals is unacceptable. It reflects badly on the ND football franchise and as yourselves as people. ND lost. Yes, it sucks. But the way some of you are carrying on make me embarrassed to say I'm one of you.

2.) Here's what happened with the time clock (after SEVERAL super slo mo's on my home DVR and a lot of discussion with my dad): You'll notice that once the ball bounces in the backfield and an ND player goes for it (sorry, I'm not familiar with all the numbers and names), the time goes down 1 second. The assumption here is that the ND player touched the ball. When Clausen tells the ref to look at the time - the ref talks to some people in the booth. First they add 1 second, but then you see that they deduct two. The field review actually shows that the ND player DID touch it, and so the time should run from when he touched it. Which, from the time he touched it until the end of the play was actually 2 seconds. HENCE the change from 11 to 9 seconds.

3.) The ND taunting call was obvious. The ND player took the ball and waved it into the band member's face from U of M. I was quite disappointed in that player - again, I expect better from the WHOLE ND franchise. To carry themselves/ourselves with respect and dignity and not act so childlike. Yes, it's a heavy rivalry. But we're Notre fucking Dame, people. We are BETTER than that. Seriously. There was no Michigan taunting call because they weren't taunting - they were celebrating with their own teammates and fans. I could see MAYBE excessive celebrating, but certainly not taunting.

4.) The fact of the matter is, this game shouldn't have even BEEN this close - there's a REASON that Michigan was NOT the favorite for this game. It should have been over by the start of the 4th quarter. The fact is, Michigan outplayed us, and we should have ran the ball more.

Most of us here spend a large amount of time and money on the team so to say that its just a game is just flat out wrong. Its much more then that. I have the therapy bills to prove that. The taunting call was horrible. In a situation like that the ref should have know better then to make a call that descides a game. I could semi understand if he pulled out a pen and signed the ball but giving a flag for taunting the band? That kind of thing happens all the time and nothing is called.

Still - time and money doesn't give you the right to act like savage animals about it. Cussing and throwing such a fit over such a thing is RIDICULOUS. It's a FOOTBALL game. It's a football GAME. The fact you want to spend tons of time and money on it doesn't change the fact that it's a GAME. The sun will still rise tomorrow, there will still be war, famine and disease tomorrow and there will still be a lot bigger problems in this world than the fact that ND lost to Michigan in football. A LOT. BIGGER. PROBLEMS.

So get over it. And yourself. Put your big boy panties on, smoke a joint, and relax, dude.

I wasn't able to get over that reversed call all day! - I just don't get it; I thought the idea of instant replay was ONLY to overturn calls when there was definitive, conclusive evidence. In the best - and very good - shot of AA's feet, it defintely looked like he stayed inbounds.

Apparently, there is no sort of review process for these officials, because I can't imagine if there were, then their jobs would be retained after something as agregious as that!

So Quinntastic what's you expert reasoning behind the AA touchdown that was called back? If you're so embarrassed to call yourself one of us than don't. We're all VERY passionate about our Irish Football and have every right to express our thoughts, if you don't have the balls for it...then tough shit.

Sorry but if they are going to call a taunting penalty why the fuck wasn't there a penalty when Floyd caught the ball and fell down, when he is trying to stand up the scUM player pushes him back down!

While I agree we shouldn't be on here acting like a bunch of jack-asses, I disagree with your point on the taunting. It was a BS call and if that was called, Michigan should have been called for excessive celebration after their next to last TD play. The refs were decidedly biased toward the Wolverines. With that said, we should not have put ourselves in that position. We lost and I can own up to that, but it's still BS the way Mchigan was given the upper hand time after time. It was obvious and the shitty thing is that ND can't even complain about it. I, however, reserve every right to do so.
