I just wanted to now more about the history from the alums. It's one thing to hear it from coach Alford(is that how you spell it). I really like the academic part of ND. I know they are a team that's getting better but, honestly I don't know much more than that.

well i am not an alum, tried but couldnt get in so im going to Cal State Fullerton instead. There are alot of alums in here though. As for history, there isnt another school in the country that can match our history. Notre Dame is the premier program in college football, on par with the Yankees, Lakers, Cowboys etc. I was born the last time Notre Dame won a championship so i know its hard to explain to other kids just how rich the tradition is there. All i can really say is there is a reason you have heard of Notre Dame, besides just the great academics

I think it's Omar Hunter pretending to be Kabron, he's trying to find out what he's missing out on

not buying it.

He could be the real person; he could be a provocateur pulling chains. There's not much way to know except for the administrator checking the I.P. and going from there.

In '06 a person claiming to be a recruit claiming to be a recruit came on the board to respond to a post about his alledged Facebook Page. Somebody had found the recruit's facebook page and noted there were cannabis leaves and an apparent tribute to M.J. Some thought it was cool. One ND alumnus took great issue with the facebook page posting that the kid was not ND material and if admitted would probably get tossed out the first semester by Res Life. The alumnus response was over the top. The recruit read it and asked why the outrage. I posted that it was probably typical stuff for a HS kid and he probably didn't think through that college administrators (and prospective employers) frequently screen Facebook pages to see the "character" of the individual. I got a pm from the kid. He explained that he wasn't a user, he though it was a cool thing to do. I reinforced by post about image and being an ambassador of whatever school he ended up attending. That night the Facebook page was changed. The individual provided a means to confirm his indentity. He was a recruit and he's currently on the ND roster.

In discussing the posts with someone I knew in NCAA Compliance he advised we may have committed an NCAA secondary violation. Kentucky was sanctioned a few years ago for recruit internet contact. As a result the original owner of this board deleted all the messages. I just checked an the recruit's handle is still listed with no posts. I'm the only listed as visiting his profile but in the corner of the page it's notes I'm the 113 visitor. The info on his page was posted after our contact with ND Compliance.

Bottom line be careful what you say. Boosters (fans) can not encourage a recruit to sign an LOI with their team. It's considered recruiting. Questions about Heisman winners, dorm life, game day environment and such can be addressed but no proselytizing!

How do you know he's not a flamer pulling your chain? You don't. He may be genuine and sinceere. So be polite, like you would for anyone asking you about ND background.

IF you don't want to answer the questions, don't post in the thread. Save the pissing contests for other issues.

GO IRISH!

Well Kadron, there is a lot to know. First off, I am not an alum, but am related to three, and may be a future alum. All I can tell you is that they take the utmost pride in their alma mater, and will always support whether they are 3-9 or 13-0. Secondly, a degree from Notre Dame can get you a job anywhere in the world, it is a very prestigious degree and you are getting a top education. I know valedictorians of their class who were rejected from ND, thats how competitive it is. Not saying you can't get the same great education at other schools, but it is guarenteed at ND.

Game day wise, it is just a special place. There is just that aura in the air. It might not be the loudest stadium, but it sure is special.

South Bend, Indiana might not sound like the most liveliest city in the world, but there are plenty of clubs, you are close to the great lakes, and there is plenty to do.

I'll just say a little bit about ND (as far as my perception goes since i am foreign and stuff). The strength of ND for a potential recruit to me is the balance of academics and football. Sure there are places where you can get an higher evaluated degree (ivy league schools come to mind) but an ND degree gets you any realistic job you want. But this does not mean you compromise on your chances to go to the NFL, it just means you need to work hard and accept that college is about more than football and fun. To me choosing for ND is a testament of character, it shows that you can look beyond a few years.
This doesnt mean that ND is for everybody. It still is a catholic institution and this can of course be something someone is uncomfortable with. People can also already decide to put all their eggs in the pro-football basket or focus even more on academics. Besides that the fit with a coaching staff is obviously important but that is something you have to figure out yourself. All I can leave you with is that if I were a football recruit I know where I would play my football and the fact that I am an ND fan despite the fact that i never set foot in southbend in my live, nor do I know someone who did, nor am I american for that matter (dont even have close relatives who live in the states), but there is just something about the program for me.
I hope you'll give us an honoust (honest for you americans) look because i really liked your film a LOT.

If it is truly Kadron Boone, he goes to a Catholic school and has the academics necessary. Of course whether it is truly he is another question:

>>>Biography:
Kadron Boone finished his junior season with 51 receptions for 1,287 yards and 19 total touchdowns after missing his entire sophomore season with a torn right ACL. He helped lead his team to the Class 2B state title game and was names FSWA 2B First Team All-State. Boone says he can bench 290-pounds, squat 500 and claims a 38-inch vertical jump. Boone also runs track (10.8 100m; 22.1 200m; 21-9 long jump) and plays basketball (shooting guard, averages 18 points and 11 rebounds). “I may do track and football,” Boone said. “Track helps keep me in shape.”
Boone plans on majoring in either business or sports medicine and reports a 3.3 core GPA and a 17 ACT, which he will retake
