In-N-Out is the best, and it's not even close. For those who don't know what In-N-Out is, it's a burger chain in the western US states. The menu is extremely basic, with the only options being a hamburger or cheeseburger and french fries. No salads, no chicken sandwiches, no hot dogs, no wraps, no bacon, no chili...nothing but classic burgers and french fries. The fries are not packaged frozen fries, they are made from fresh potatoes. They will stack as many burgers as you want for an additional charge (I've seen people eat 6x6's, but the largest I've ever eaten is a 4x4). They come with lettuce, tomatoes and special sauce (which is their thousand island dressing...but it's better than your average thousand island dressing) and the choice of grilled onions and/or pickles. Menu is a classic. They haven't ever had to change it because people go there for one thing and one thing only...burgers and fries (the milkshakes are pretty darn good too).
My second choice is Fatburger. Not sure if they have Fatburgers everywhere, but they are all over California and there is a 24 hour Fatburger on the Vegas strip (if you are ever in Vegas, you have to stop in Fatburger in the middle of the night on your way back to the hotel after a long night of gambling and binge drinking). The menu has a lot more options than In-N-Out (burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, etc). What stands out about Fatburger to me is the option to order your burger with a fried egg on it. My friend once got me to try it and I've never eaten one without it since.
Damn, now I'm hungry and neither of these are good for my diet.
How could I forget...
FUDDRUCKERS!
Not really a fast food joint, but I've always loved Waffle House despite the people cooking it.
I'm not a huge fan of Waffle House. They cook the eggs so fast, it seems like they're not even done. There are four Waffle Houses in Tallahassee. Between Whattaburger and Waffle House, the best drunk stop is Whatta.

I think Crals JR goes by Hardees in certian areas. But still In N Out Secret Menu.
two words: animal style
The burgers at the Hardees around here suck. The breakfast is what keeps them going here.
hnmmm Pinks is good, like an hour wait for a hot dog but good. oh yes and Tito's Tacos
you serious??? Their comericals alone have made national headlines... they are like soft porn at times (don't care for the marketing but the food is GREAT) But thier milkshakes cow commerial is COMDEY... it is in the link below
anyway east of the colorado I do believe Carl's Jr. is called Hardees and is the fast food chain with the red sign with the yellow smiley faced star....

We have no In-and-Outs here. I feel as if I'm missing out.
