Where are you getting the video from? Most sites have an option to embed the video. For instance, on Youtube it is to the right of the video. When you click in the embed option, you can copy and paste it to the post. Does this help?

I will give it a try sometime. It probly does work. I just never knew how to do it.

I think I have already posted, but gotta mention one of the greatest selling all time bands in history (ABBA) performed by Kylie Minogue at the Olympics.

(Heard this one today.) The guys look ridiculous, but what the hell, they were probably paid well...

Do your best to ignore the guys and FOCUS on Kylie. FOCUS ON KYLIE.

FOCUS ON KYLIE.

Any Jazz musicians on this board? I have been playing drums since 1986. It took me over 20 years of playing to realize that jazz/big band muscians from the mid-50's to the late 60's are the greatest musicians. I grew up listening to 60's rock (zep '68, Black Sabbath '69), 70's punk rock (Ramones '75, Misfits '78), 80's rock/metal (Iron Maiden '81, Metallica '83-'90 - stopped listening to them in 91), 90's MTV rock (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, etc), 90's Metal (Pantera, DD - RIP, Rage Against the Machine, SLipknot)

I was completely set in my ways in listening to the above music (I still do listen) but it is undeniable if you are a musician, that the guys from Count Basie Orchestra, especially from 1933-1948 when Papa Jo Jones was the drummer, and the mid 50's to late 60's jazz musicians (drummers) are the most talented, cerebral players ever.

The Great Joe Morello, from the Dave Brubeck Quartet

I wanted to post this clip mainly for the 30sec story that Louie Bellson says about Buddy in the beginning of the clip.

Buddy Rich has his own section when it comes to comparing drummers. There is truly no comparison to his furocious, loud, raw power, raw talent, extroverted style of playing. A funny thing about Buddy Rich, he claimes that he never actually practiced playing drums.

To me the golden age of rock and roll was the 70's and 80's.

So much to choose from - Led Zepplin, Journey, Foreigner, Heart, Kiss, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Alice Cooper, Eddie Money, Jackson Browne, Cars, Bryan Adams, U2, INXS, Tina Turner, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Duran Duran, Dokken, Doobie Bros, Robert Palmer, Styx, Deep Purple, Madonna....the list is diverse and goes on and on!!!!!!!!!!!

you can have the 80's for the most part and I'll take the 60's with those 70's... Rolling Stones, BB King, Muddy Mississippi Waters, CCR, Van Morrison, Bobby Bland, Hendrix and so on added to the 70's guys you already mentioned

very few bands from the 80's I like, Van Halen of course... AC/DC of COURSE... Stray Cats... The Clash............. ah........... the police??......... maybe the pretenders

I get off the 80's train at Men with Hats...

;)

My dad always says I was born in the wrong generation. While I love the 80's hairbands, I also really enjoy 50's and 60's tunes....no matter what it is pretty much. LOL...my kids won't even listen to my IPod because it's littered with "Oldies"... ;)

I hear you, but you realize a lot of the really good 60's guys rolled well into the 70's (and 80's for that matter) right? For example, CCR, Stones, etc. So taking the 70's and 80's captures the greatest amount of talent IMO.
