My wife-to-be got this video a while back in her email from a friend of hers who meets many of the players' parents in her line of work in SB. It's a video of Theo Riddick and his story (a bot on growing up, his high school, his ND announcement, highlights, etc.). If yo have about 5 minutes, check it out. Phenominal, humble kid. He's the reason we all love ND football...

Did y'all know EJ Banks was transferring? Wow- that's some big news. I hope this Riddick guy works out-- he could be a real stud in Charlie Weis' offense.

can't let Theo get lost in this offense. i love seeing Floyd abuse guys and i absolutely love TJ, but Theo needs to get himself involved. i would hate to see him fall into the lack-of- confidence-abyss forever cuz he's too talented a kid.

I don't think it is really Theo getting lost. I just think it's the young QB in Rees that makes him look for Floyd all the time. Had a tough time when Floyd was "taken away" against Pitt until the final drive when he started seeing Eifert. Rees is coming into his own now and his view is getting better with the entire offense. He will get them the ball.

To contradict that....if it's working, keep doing it. Floyd was great - keep getting it to him - the running game was unstoppable - keep running it.

good points and i love seeing Floyd work on guys and also give them the "you are tiny" sign." i love seeing Theo on those crossing routes along with TJ too and that running game. we should just score over 45 next time so everyone can get involved, LOL.

Kelly noted after the game that Purdue was doubling Riddick all night. So his most recent disappearing act appears to have been by design.

I do think Kelly needs to call some plays with Riddick as the #1, if for no other reason than to build his confidence.

But Theo needs to have a breakout game this year. He hasn't really been a factor this year other than being a negative factor versus USF and having the TD against Michigan.

any possibility theo moves back to rb next year? He showed some flashes of ability in 09 when he lined up at rb. kind of cierre-esque.

toma is more than capable in the slot, and we seem deeper at Wr than Rb.

riddick at reciever has just seemed like a square peg round hole kinda deal.

No. Right now, we'll likely only return 3 receivers (including Riddick) in 2012 with any real experience. Of the 7 others, Daniel Smith is the only one who's ever even seen a snap; the other 6 are completely inexperienced.

We'll currently be 5 deep at RB in 2012, which isn't bad (6 is ideal). At WR, we'll be 10 deep, where 12 is ideal. Moving Riddick would exacerbate that imbalance.

Also, I can't imagine getting switched back to RB after two years as a WR would do good things for Riddick's development.
