I think we get him if we win early in the season and I do believe this will be the difference in alot of recruits as it did matter last year and the year before.

Recent Article on jelani.....find it very so so until the end when it mentions something about him and 3 of his senior teammates refering to themselves as the "four Horsemen". just thought that may be some sort of good info.

He's narrowed the list down from 40 to 15, with ND in the list. As in the past, they aren't giving any cues to who might be in his top-5. He is setting up visits after his season is over.

ESPN - College Football Recruiting On the Trail 2009

it bugs me that they never seem to put defensive stats from games on any of the sites but i guess i cant argue a 42-3 game with him on the winning sides defense.

Is there any news on this front, I would really love for us to have this guy, with him and perhaps one or two more good pickups we would again have a awesome recruiting class. With most of the other top prospects remaining seeming to be going elsewere I think this is the most vital recruit left. C'mon go for him Charlie

well, for the 3 that get cut, yes, LOL.

this recruit has definitely been the most methodical about his process. and very tight lipped about any team that may have an edge. so if he cuts a team, its pretty safe to say they are out of contention.

Yeah this guy is def keepin it close to the vest..Penn St is in the lead but we have a shot...He wants to play early and he would start from day 1 here..So that helps our chances...After watching his film, he could start for ANY TEAM in the country next year..he's that good.

I think it's time to go the route shown in "The Program". Let Latimer get doped up, take him to a club, toss in the bus of half-naked cheerleaders who enjoy... ummm... a 'good time', and plug him into the lineup after plastering his face all over the scoreboard. Anyone? Anyone?

Because he is choosing to keep it on the downlow... No quotes to media, no stories to print, no massive buzz.

i find that i'm much more interested in this kind of approach to the recruiting process. i get disenchanted by all of the rumor mills pumping out nonsense throughout the recruiting cycle of most players. when nobody has a clue what the kid is thinking other than the list of 5 schools left, that's where the suspense begins. bravo for making your announcement so intriguing.

I love the fact that he is not saying too much about it. IMO it really shows alot about him. I believe it shows that he is a guy that don't want attention and is a very low key guy. Mega props to this kid.
