I think it's great to pay him among the elite while he learns on the job while their are dozens of better coaches in the game. I like Mike Reily from Oregon St. and he knows how to beat Pete.

CW needs to redeem himself (yet again) with a convincing win against Syracuse and a competitve game against USC. This team needs momentum for next year and we just blew getting some. Now that we're Bowl eligible do we think we can win one?

Charlie took what would have been a satisfying thumping of Navy and turned it into ND survives thriller. People who did not watch the game will think that ND just struggled to a victory. He needed to throttle these guys to gain some confidence. The kids walked off looking as if the had lost. 15 minutes prior they were laughing and dancing. He ripped the momentum from the team.

it amazing that when one mistake happens (special teams) eveyone wants to can that coach. the special teams i thought has been better this year (except for today) than last. cheerleaders didnt cheer loud enough...can that coach. is this the solution to every problem?

I know a LOAD of Patriot fans, and they'd fire McDaniels and take back Weis in a heartbeat. The former got more heat than anyone for the SB. You get as many Patriots fans pining for CW as you do ND ones bitching about him, fwiw.

As stupid as this sounds. They almost lost the game for us but,, but, they did get the stop to preserve the win. I blame the conservative offensive playing in the final 9 minutes. And special teams. (esp. on side kick receiving team) What was it? Two or three in a row? What are the odds of that happening? They have lost two games by letting up. They need to bury teams and he just refuses to do it. I still enjoyed the game. We won. Now all the haters can talk about the "near" collapse of the Irish in stead of another loss. I wish they were talking about how we beat up on a smaller Navy team though.

Sad to say but Ty had better coached teams than this one. They played 3 horrible quarters of football and let up WAY to early. This team lacks balls!!

the whole program right now is in the dumps except for the recruiting. period.

the team is like a boot-camp, NO ONE is having fun. i loved it when toryan smith jumped into the end zone, id take the fifteen yard penalty anyday. he unleashed a spark that was DESPERATELY needed. and it was quickly put out by the coaches. its ridiculous and needs to change.

If i were charlie i'd pull a "Georgia" and have everyone go celebrate in the endzone the first TD we score vs. USC
