As a very very very casual follower of the USMNT isn't this what is always said?

The difference between this young group and the group with Pulisic, Mckennie, Adams, Robinson, etc is this group can integrate into an established, veteran core. The prior group just got thrust into those roles without much veteran leadership.

This is so spot on true. However, at the same time, its been pretty widely noted that even this veteran core has little leadership within. This next wave is going to need to fill that gap too.

Could not have asked for a better international break from Pochettino. 4 matches, 4 wins, a lot of players getting high quality minutes.

Last night was pretty ugly, but a lot of that had to do with Canada's tactics. They made it look like a Honduras vs Guatemala match with the number of fouls.

Not surprised.

The USA is to Canada what Mexico is/was to us. That's the bar Canada is trying to get over right now.
