The problem with that answer is that the rules state it is the stadium clock that keeps the time not a stop watch of a guy in the booth...otherwise they could always cut seconds here and there to cheat. If they dont admit it was cheating and forfeit the game it sets a horrible precedent that won't be recoverable. On the clock situation -- my gut is that it was Big Ten replay booth and we will get an actual explanation on it. I'm guessing it's something like "the actual in game stadium clock was off and when you hand time it from the snap 9 seconds did not elapse."
I honestly give 2 shits. ND running the slate is all I can think about.
And there are a hell of a lot more people out there that hate ND than that like ND. In a corrupt world, we get fucked and have no conference to back us up.After what I just watched, it’ll just take one corrupt official to prevent that from happening

Only way to do it and I hope Marcus shows this to the team to really drive home the point. Gotta win too big to rigI don't think the "leave no doubt" slogan was chosen at random
Yeah but their own rules expert came on air live and said he checked and that camera is the scoreboard time which is the official game time and it is not even close. The big 10 / NBC is so highly incentivized to rig this game. This isn’t one of their own beating Michigan, it’s a random non conference team that would effectively eliminate one of their biggest brands from the playoffs, nuking their ratings for any big noon or prime time games they planned to have them in + limiting the playoff $$$. It’s also not a P4 conference that has any teeth they’d have to worry about upsetting.
With Clemson’s downfall, the ACC is toast. How do they keep Miami in that conference past this season? All offseason I have seen many Miami fans defend their joke of a schedule and say that Clemson would be good and wind up as the 2nd best team in the ACC.![]()

Matteer is their QB. So get ready for them to call it a defensive slugfest in the post game and the winner to move up in the rankingsWell I'll be bloodthirsty to see Oklahoma drop 100 points on these cheating fucks next week
Was nice to see , they didn’t blow it off.Yeah in fairness NBC appeared to be showing the right amount of consternation.
Been shouting this from the roofs for YEARS.they have to get rid of referees being part of conferences.
How soon we forget the SEC crew from the A&M game last year…Hinish tackled from behind to end the gameAfter what I just watched, it’ll just take one corrupt official to prevent that from happening
