I'm not saying DCs should only load the box but I'd skew heavily to stop the run for the first half of the game to see if I could keep the pressure on Carr. He's shown he can throw the ball but he hasn't had to carry a team and he hasn't had to play from behind and make clutch throws. If I'm a DC, I do everything I can to stop ND's run game and see if Carr can beat my team. Then, if he proves he can do it under pressure, then I'd change it up.

I'd also mix in a lot of zone, robber, nickel, cover 2, dime. Cover 3 can allow teams to cheat a little and keep the LBs aggressive, maybe. Ultimately, I want to see which teams can present one thing pre-snap and something else post-snap, and I want to see how Carr adjusts to that.
yea. Many teams should show static looks pre snap and adjust post snap. Carr will read defenses and destroy them if they show any tells

Is Cam Williams even an option as a junior in 2026? He’s never mentioned or thought of. Bummer he hasn’t elevated to grab the boundary role by now.

If Carr shows an inability to get the ball down field in September, then I could see them doing that
I was drowning in koolaid leading up to this year’s spring game and Carr and the WRs came out pretty meh. I hope 2026’s season doesn’t start out like that. Maybe it was nerves, maybe it was lack of cohesion with the teams being split, maybe it was because it was against the best defense our offense will face this year. I know it was only a practice four months ago, but Carr will have to prove it first.

The good news is that if our defense plays up to expectations our offense will be essentially practicing for most of September.

We are going into the season with the least established TE in my time watching. Who is expected to be the go-to TE?

Likely Cooper Flanagan but the freshman Ian Premer could emerge as a real pass catching threat.

Saw that some weights are updated...nothing too significant, Except this... that's a misprint right?

Gotta be 217 lol. Also Sean Sev down to 313, good stuff. Freshman Dline boys are putting on some good weight. Also Bubba Frazier already up to 185 is excellent for his chances to play this year.

Freeman mentioned him in the presser about the guys competing for the 6 and 7 spot. This camp is important for Cam, either he ascends or he'll graduate in the spring and head elsewhere. Great athlete, just very very raw.

That was the case when he got to ND but from what I understand now it's about consistency. Essentially everything about his game is BOOM or BUST. If this is still the case then I can see him being a player in some "speed packages", probably in 4 WR set. The same can probably be said about Bubba Frazier as someone who will get some PT in packages that are about speed and more speed.
