Mt Carmel is the PREMIER program in IL for football..it would be a shame not to get a D1 recruit from there.

The only viable candidates are Igwebuike and Harrington, and I'd love to snag both of them. But let's not act like they're loaded with ND-level talent.

I legit thought Filer was going to be an All American when he committed. Part of the problem is that he played under Weis but also had multiple D coordinators, 1 of which was the disastrous John Tenuta years.
Tenuta would've somehow figured out a way to ruin Manti Teo.

I concur. Yes. Thank you for hijacking the thread. I didn't want to do it. LOL

I believe Filer also got injured his last year in a non contact variety during practice.

Mt. Carmel has won 17 state championships and have currently won four in a row. It really isn't even fair. Brother Rice had one loss last year and it was to MC. BR dominated everyone else. MC handled them rather well. Embarrassment of riches.

I played against them my senior year when Filer was there and they had a rb that I think ended up at fordham. I legit thought Filer was gonna be stud.

We played them in the 5A quarters when I was in 8th grade. Simeon Rice was on that team.

Everyone at that field that day was certain that dude was going to collect an NFL paycheck one day. It was terrifying how good he was.

They won state that year.

Simeon Rice is one of many reasons I'm a bucs fan growing up outside Chicago.

Unless OL/DL/DB recruiting suddenly falls off a cliff, there's no way they take 4 LBs this cycle.
From those 3 groups you could have 16 players (recruits + commits), if you added 3-4 LBs that's 19-20 + other 6 commits your at 25-26 depending on if you sign 3 or 4 LBs. At that number they could still sign a couple more prospects and finish the class with 27-28.

Very conceivable even if it's not likely

He and Henderson would be a nice LB combo for this class.

That would be a major coup for Jean Mary, who had the unenviable task of being the 3rd LB coach at ND in less than a year and came in wayyyyy behind on these guys. Getting even one of them would be a win. Both would be a great get.
