All focus on Sessay and Parks. We land those 2 and I really don’t care what Fakatou does, our DL will be elite 5 across. And I’m telling you Aiden O’Neal is going to be so freaking good.

Fakatou is a guy that you continue to recruit right up until National Signing Day and take as a BPA add, but you definitely do not leave anybody on the board and a spot "open" for him. You recruit until you're full, then figure it out later if he decided he wants to come.

Wondering if bringing him in for an OV alone is a choice by the staff or based on his schedule. Would love to get him around the other DL guys. But maybe getting time with KVA and being the only recruit there for the staff is good too.

If he commits elsewhere won't he sign his NIL deal shortly after committing? Be kind of pointless to continue to recruit a guy with a contract already signed.

Yep never mind I misread your post. You didn't say anything about him being committed elsewhere

No sweat. The way it's working these days for committed guys is that the coaches / GMs are actually communicating with the player's agent. Therefore, if an NIL deal has been signed and their process has been closed, you can simply move on from them, where as if the agent tells the school that the player has not signed anything yet and is still open to financial offers and recruitment, all is fare game.

I am in the same boat. If Notre Dame lands Sesay and Parks, I see Fakatou only has a luxury and not a miss. I will be ecstatic if he commits to ND, but if we land those other two, I will not be disappointed if he commits elsewhere.

So free agency basically and signing day is just a made up holiday now?

Thats where I’m at as well. I really hope I’m wrong and I think he really likes ND but he seems to be pretty open about OSU being his favorite. I just don’t see him ending up anywhere else.

Not worried about this one. Undoubtedly a good player, but never seemed likely for ND, especially with what they're already spending on their DL class and the rumoured price for Fakatou.

I've always thought that 5 was the likely number for the DL class and as of now I'm sticking to that number.

Nothing against Fakatou personally, but I really hope ND fans let this one go and don't start wishcasting him as a flip candidate. He isn't coming here.
