No inside information here but I think the only DL prospect in jeopardy of losing their spot with this commitment, is Muhammad.

They’re not turning Fakatou away and the other end prospects are more WDE prospects, even though the staff doesn’t use those titles anymore.

It *feels* they were able to put the screws to O'Neil and get this one done. Really excited to see the DL class come together.

Get me the following and I'd be over the moon...

DE: Abraham Sesay
DE: Jackson Vaughn
DE/DT: Aidan O'Neil
DT: David Folorunsho
DT: Brayden Parks or Alifeleti Tuihalamaka

That's not to say that I'd stop recruiting Marcus Fakatou or Xavier Muhammad, and I'd still keep in contact with Santana Harvey, Ifeanyi Emodobi and Esa Wittingburg in case something happened down the road and I needed a quality replacement.

Fakatou in particular, I'd recruit until the bitter end. But whether he takes $3'ish million per year from Oregon, or $1.5'ish million per year from Ohio State, I'd still rather have multiple other guys on the DL list in that $500K-$1 million first year price tag, with re-negotiation depending on roster impact. Maintaining financial flexibility and landing depth of talent with a budget that isn't unlimited, is important to me.

You take as many DL guys as possible and figure the rest out later can’t ever have enough
Haven’t been around much because all of the shit that went down with the playoff has left me so jaded to the sport. Good to see that as much as the landscape is changing in cfb thanks to our corporate overlords, some things never will

I said we're being consistently outbid for top paired, but please continue the hyperbole.

So is A&M, they had to settle for their 5th highest QB recruit! Only have 1 of their top 7 WR recruit offers! Only 1 edge rusher who wasn't their highest rated offer! So much for being a DL recruiting factory, those bums only have their 4th highest DL recruit committed, as someone who's very concerned over LB recruiting you would faint knowing that they don't have any commits!!

Yeah, it's time for A&M fans to LOSE it!

I do think O’Neil is very much a strong side type end which likely removes him to some extent from Sesay and Vaughn conversations. It lines him up more with what Fakatou wants to be (he’s a DT). He fits pretty well as a take regardless because if you also land Fakatou, Fakatou is either A) better or B) gonna move.
This.

I think even Fakatou deep down knows he is a 3t. I just dont see how we can pay for him and the 2 chi kids…along with Sesay and Vaughn
Resources and could they aren't the issue for ND but the question is will they? If you secure Sesay and Vaughn then I'd say take the first two to commit whoever they maybe between those 3
