Not landing Foley is kind of annoying, but it would’ve been a luxury add. Two DTs, WR, and K please.

Losing out on Marsh and then “fixing” the problem with a guy they believe as a hybrid? Oh boy, I sure hope not.

They have 6 TE's on roster so I imagine taking and paying for Foley would lead someone like Washington/Flanagan looking elsewhere. The other guys are cheaper and you should get production from Flanigan/Premer this year. So maybe they decided it wouldn't be worth the cost? Don't know, but maybe a similar situation with Townsend lead to KK hitting the portal...

My guess is they want more money for 2 Defensive Tackles. If I were the agents for Ibirogba and Gilliam I'd be smiling right now.

I think that is easily explained. Word got out about the visit, one of the other TEs told the coaches they might enter the portal if they take Foley, the coaches decide keeping what we have for the price we have is better than switching out Foley for one of them at a higher price point. They then cancel the Foley visit.

I'm not saying that is what happened, just that its an easy scenario to imagine.

I like Foley but do I think he's a better athlete than Flanigan, Flanagan, or Premer? No. The odds of one of them breaking out is pretty damn high.

I think it's less because they don't want it and more that it's hard to find.

There's only so many 340+ dudes who can also move extremely well except when heading to the buffet line.
