The 5 highest ranked conference champions get automatic bids. Whether they are ranked 1-5 or 1, 4, 9, 17, and 23, it doesn't matter. After that, it's the next 7 highest ranked teams.

The 5 highest ranked conference champions are automatically in. There is no distinction between "P4" or "G5" in this, it's just the 5 highest ranked, period. UVA would be the 4th highest ranked conference champion and would jump over the bubble teams and take the 11 seed with Tulane (more than likely) taking the 12 seed.

I think Bama needs to root for UVA in OT, Miami only has sympathy vote for an ACC rep if Duke wins. Bama/Miami on the bubble, UVA/JMU spot is going one way or the other
