Would be the most fair outcome imo. If you lose your CCG you shouldn't get in unless your resume is impeccable after the game. BYU with two losses and no good wins+Three loss Bama don't have the resumes to be in the playoffs.

The committee said they wouldn't penalize a conference championship loser last year, not this.

I don't disagree, but if the committee were willing to do that they wouldn't have moved Bama to 9 and then come up with bizarre, embarrassing rationalizations for doing so. That was a signal that Bama is in more or less no matter what.

If Bama loses at all it's a point against them. The UGA win earlier this season is what is countering the bad FSU loss. Losing to them after struggling with a bad Auburn team should result in a drop.
