Wait. You think Miami should be ahead of us?Miami should not be behind us after this week. Hopefully we both can get in.

They lost to SMU and Louisville. We really need oklahoma to lose or oregon but it really shouldn't matterMiami should not be behind us after this week. Hopefully we both can get in.
If Notre Dame was not involved, I would say yes. I believe ND is definitely one of the 12 best teams in the country and would love to see them in. I argued against the “eye test” for years and think the on field results should mean something. I’m not going to argue either way. Committees are a silly way to settle sports but that’s where we are. End of the day, fuck Miami, Go Irish!Wait. You think Miami should be ahead of us?
Yeah a couple of weeks ago Miami had a pretty ordinary eye test but it has gotten a lot better.Miami should not be behind us after this week. Hopefully we both can get in.
The problem is that has never been the rule that is actually applied, see, e.g., 1993. Head-to-head is treated as relevant but not dispositive. If Notre Dame was not involved, I would say yes. Yup. Not because I want them to, not because I dont think we are better. But same record, right next to each other in the rankings, and they beat us.Wait. You think Miami should be ahead of us?
Thankfully that hasn’t budged the committee to date.. they are clearly enamored with us & Miami beat Pitt in the same fashion we did.In all serious I think we win and we're in, but playing after midnight after all these coaches get to win and give their speech into the camera and have commentators suck them off... doesn't help.
I agree but it probably should be. It’s the first tie breaker in almost every scenario in sports. We got fucked in ‘93.The problem is that has never been the rule that is actually applied, see, e.g., 1993. Head-to-head is treated as relevant but not dispositive.
Welcome to the party.Just thinking about when I was getting crucified for even the mere suggestion ND might not make it.
But thats your MO dude. Just non-stop. You only post your negative and controversial takes. But you have managed to transcend bedwetter status and gone to something completely different: pants shitter status.Just thinking about when I was getting crucified for even the mere suggestion ND might not make it.
Nothing has changed lol.Just thinking about when I was getting crucified for even the mere suggestion ND might not make it.
Right, but 1993 happened and that's all that matters. No reason to apply a rule to screw us now when it wasn't applied in the past to benefit us.I agree but it probably should be. It’s the first tie breaker in almost every scenario in sports. We got fucked in ‘93
There were some folks who said it wasn't bad that OU beat Bama. OU would've been eliminated right then and there.Just thinking about when I was getting crucified for even the mere suggestion ND might not make it.

I think it makes it fun for the fans. I get it if you are exhausted, but there are many who love it. Granted, I will only love it if the Irish are in where they definitely belong.Am I the only one that is "over it" with the playoff debates? I would love to be in, but I am exhausted at this point.
Agreed. Even though we are sitting in a pretty good place, we don't really control our own destiny. If one or two things happen next week, we are out regardless of what happens against Stanford. So let's control what we can: go out and throttle Stanford and make Love's best case for a Heisman in the process.Am I the only one that is "over it" with the playoff debates? I would love to be in, but I am exhausted at this point.
We live in a system where -- because the SEC only plays 8 conference games -- we are set up to have 5+ SEC teams "in the conversation" ... the SEC is incredibly mid but they put Oklahoma over us even with their anemic offense because of circular logic 'good wins'There were some folks who said it wasn't bad that OU beat Bama. Pretty much where I’ve been for awhile. Hate this part of college footballAm I the only one that is "over it" with the playoff debates? I would love to be in, but I am exhausted at this point.
Correct. If they're in, they'll have a legit chance to win it all. If they're out, it'll be a travesty and ill bitch about forever, win winAm I the only one that is "over it" with the playoff debates? I would love to be in, but I am exhausted at this point.
I don’t see how that’s possible without bama losing.I think it’s trending towards ND and Miami both being in, barring a BYU or Alabama upset next week
Oh Lord. You were rebuffed because you seemed certain TX would pass us. You weren't crucified.Just thinking about when I was getting crucified for even the mere suggestion ND might not make it.

Because you're an insufferable doom monger who is subconsciously willing ND missing the playoffs into existence so you can take victory laps in here with your "receipts." Save your constant bedwetting for your therapist.Just thinking about when I was getting crucified for even the mere suggestion ND might not make it.
I don't see how they get both ND and Miami. The loses needed just aren't happening.I think it’s trending towards ND and Miami both being in, barring a BYU or Alabama upset next week
