Notre Dame returns so many faces on offense that it can’t help but do a better job of moving the ball this season. While the offense figures to get most of the attention in the wake of last year’s struggles, the Irish also have major holes to fill on the defensive line. Here’s a look at the Irish as they prepare for spring drills.

If Notre Dame doesn’t get any better on the offensive line, it’s tough to imagine the Irish having a winning season - even against a less-challenging schedule.

Yup...the OL will determine a LOT.

Yeah, there's no doubt about the fact that our line play this upcoming season will determine just how things go. Let's hope that Latina's coaching style is allowed to show through and let these kids learn the fundamentals about blocking with a little bit-o-nasty to go along with it.

As for the D, I'm just not going to expect a whole hell of a lot of anything at this point. Their very thin as it is, and with a whole lot of frosh coming in, isn't exactly going to make things any better.

I am going to be a little optimistic about this season. I think things are going to fall in line, not saying we are going to go undefeated but we will make a showing that will open a lot of peoples eyes.

Our D is gonna be alot better...I got a good feeling. If our O line can improve, our running and passing game could be ALOT better. All JC needs is more time.

I believe that this year comes down to one thing and one thing only...LINE PLAY! If we can get consistent play up front this year, we could have a very good year. I am not saying we need to dominate the line of scrimmage to have a good year(I would love to see them dominate), but we will need to at least neutralize the opponent's front line to give our young playmakers a chance to do their job.
