Has anyone watched Animal Kingdom? I find it really creepy that Ellen Barkin cuddles up and kisses her sons. That and she calls them baby all the time.

Season 2 is great. I remember the series ending unexpectedly so it felt incomplete.

Not sure where else to say this, but this might be the year I favor the Fox Big Noon Kickoff. For years I’ve got tired of the predictable game day format. Add the addition of Alabama Jones (dry) and the shirtless wonder (annoying) and I think I might let the background morning noise on Saturday come from somewhere else.

Started watching Peacemaker season 2. There’s a particular scene in the first episode that I was not ready for, being a DC property.

Just finished Black Rabbit on Netflix. Stars Jude Law and Justin Bateman. It wasn't bad. Starts slow and was kind of choppy at times, but the latter episodes were pretty good. Probably could have wrapped it up in one less episode. Bateman is really good. He really makes you despise him in this series.

Great show. Loved the cinematography. Buscemi is a cool dude. See him every year on 9/11. Still goes back to the firehouse he worked in before he took up acting.

Yeah, Buscemi's a great actor - can do comedy and drama equally well - and is one of my favorites. Lot of respect to him for helping man his old station after 9/11.

Watched the aka Charlie Sheen doc. Whatever you think about the dude, the doc was well produced & edited. If you grew up in the 1980s, it’s definitely worth a watch.

I enjoyed it. Pretty much bared his soul. You could tell the drugs and booze took its toll.

I haven't seen it, but read an article this week about him admitting to a fair amount of gay experiences while doing drugs. He said he'd been blackmailed over it and was admitting it now so he couldn't be blackmailed any longer.

Yup. IIRC, the blackmailing was more about him being HIV+ but he paid out a shitload of money to keep it under wraps.

1. Last Episode of my annual Sopranos rewatch. Still my favorite show of all time.

2. Black Rabbit on Netflix. I liked it. Had an Ozark feel to it but Jason Bateman and Laura Linney directed some of the episodes, so there's that.

3. Task on HBO. First three episodes have been very good.

Task on HBO Max is really good. Very good acting, very good writing. 5 episodes down and two more left.

Very very good if you want to get caught up.

We're halfway through. Don't like how many liberties and assumptions they made as fact, but it's definitely creepy

Watched “Cocaine Quarterback”. It’s three episodes but they’re not long so it’s a quick watch. Honestly, I don’t remember this story. I’m sure it made news but I missed it.

Sounds like US customs & border should consult w/ Australia considering how tough they said was to smuggle drugs there. Looked like one of his former teammates stuck w/ him to the end when he was released from prison. You could tell by listening to his father that this dude was used to living the life of luxury & probably wants to go back to it.

One more episode of Task. I don't know if this is something they're going to do another season of, but it's been very good. Tense, dark.

Task reminds me a good bit of True Detective - which is a huge compliment

Some of the plot lines are a bit far-fetched, but Gary Oldman and Kristen Scott Thomas are both superb. Really enjoy that show.
