It is pretty disingenuous to compare the many repeated instances of Biden clearly showing his inability to mentally function with this video of Trump. I am quick to call out Trump on his tariff policy and the BBB. But considering how we were all proven right about Joe being a vegetable while in office, I’m not entirely sure what point you guys are trying to make

If you want to keep score on who trips the most, I'm okay with that. People made a living writing jokes about Ford and Biden doing the same thing. Trump has a way to go on the trip meter before he catches up.

Trump may not need puppeteers to feed the media preplanned questions and to help him get from Point A to Point B, but that doesn't mean he should be in office. I've said it before, politicians shouldn't be in office well into their 70s and 80s. You should finish out your term, unable to run for re-election after 70. That's still past the retirement age. There are people capable of doing the job beyond those ages, but it doesn't mean they should be. They can and will hide any deficiencies to keep figureheads in power, and that should be concerning for everyone.

Strongly for an age cap. If we as a society agree on 25/30/35 as age minimums, we should absolutely have a 70 year age cap on running for federal office. Add in congressional term limits (6 for House, 2 for senate) and we're cooking. Considering the obvious opposition that these would have to be passed in Congress (unless the existing congressmen were grandfathered in), it would probably need a constitutional convention to happen. And given the shit show that is our current political landscape, a constitutional convention would be a fucking nightmare.

I don't have a problem with politicians being gone before they see the fruits of their labor, but that also assumes they're working for the good of the people and not the good of their pocketbooks. That's the reality unfortunately.
