Some of these games are making my list. I just bought Batman Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight all for $5.99 in the PlayStation store. Just started the first one. It's pretty sweet actually for being released in 2009.

I'm playing Asylum right now. I just defeated Bane. (So I'm not too far in) So far it is freaking amazing. For being an old game the graphics are pretty sweet and the fluidity of the fighting is pretty epic as well. I'm excited to see how these games progress.

truly revolutionized action RPG combat games, and paved the way for Spider-Man on the PS4/5. But it holds up extremely well even today like you are saying. Enjoy it man!!

Oh I'm definitely enjoying it. Took me forever to find the Dr. Notes in the Mansion. (I almost had to cheat and YouTube it.....which I rarely ever do).

I can't wait to go back through and do all the riddles and find all the other things. (I know I'm missing some stuff).

So playing some old Castlevanias got me thinking and I know at least a couple of you will find this interesting,… why is Simon’s Quest so hated for being a game that requires Nintendo power to beat while many games, including BOTH Zelda games on NES are the exact same shit and never catch nearly the heat for it? Especially the first one, there are moments in both games where a kid would never figure out what to do without Nintendo power guiding you through it,… idk if it’s the legacy of being the AGVN’s first episode or what but Simons Quest ( a legit GREAT game) gets so much heat for this, but why not Legend of Zelda? There’s so much cryptic shit in that game and idk a single person from my generation that figured that game out without the Nintendo power guides but not a word,… anyway, TLDR: if Simon’s Quest suffers from being a ‘nintendo power game’ then Zelda sucks too and we don’t talk about it enough,… long live Castlevania. I think Simon's Quest really only has one super cryptic moment, and it's that point where you have to kneel near the dead end having a certain crystal equipped. The rest of the game isn't that bad imo, and among the first three Simon's Quest is my favorite. I would rather grind my way to a flame whip that I keep forever than having to re-upgrade my whip everytime I die. Plus I enjoy figuring out puzzles and keeping track of clues from NPCs on what to do and where to go next. It's good for the memory. I think a lot of Simon's Quest hate probably comes from that frustration with the dead end along with the viral-ness of AVGN's iconic episode, but yeah I've never understood it myself.

I remember Crystalis being a fun fucking game, but it had a few tough spots. It was the only time I called the Nintendo Power Hotline because I got stuck. I managed to get through the Zeldas on my own, Dragon Quest(s), etc.

The best Elder Scrolls game.

Don't come at me with that Skyrim BS. It was good, but it benefitted from a later release. Oblivion had better storylines/quests.

Gray Fox Thieves Guild questline > Skyrim Thieves Guild
Oblivion Mages Guild >>> Skyrim's forgettable Mages Guild
Oblivion Dark Brotherhood > Skyrim Dark Brotherhood
Skyrim Companion questline > Oblivion Fighter's Guild (Only because the Skyrim version added Werewolves for some spice, weak otherwise)
Oblivion Gates > Skyrim Dragons. The first dragon fight is epic. After that? Repetitive. Then you fight the final boss Alduin, another dragon, and you get a special Shout to make him weaker. Not as epic as Mehrunes Dagon vs. the Avatar of Akatosh in a giant battle.

Mario 3 isn't my favorite, but I acknowledge it's the GOAT for the NES.
I don't see how you can side with the Legion and live under the Thalmor's boot unless you're a pathetic little toadie that enjoys being seen as a 2nd class citizen or worse, an animal. The Thalmor are all snooty in their gold armor, no true son of Skyrim would bend the knee to those punks.

Finished Blue Prince the other day and it was great. On gamepass and really sucked me in. Every once in a while I like a great puzzle game, will say the RNG in the game hated me though.

The new Elder Scrolls,... GTA, the CFB game... it seemed like walking through a gaming desert when the ps5 and Series X dropped... now there's rumors of a new AA castlevania... I'm like, if tiny ole War Horse can come out with two great Kingdom Come games in short order what the holy hell is taking so long for Elder Scrolls and GTA!?!

So I finished Portrait of Ruin and wanted to do another CV game. I was about to start Rondo since I never beat it but it's so damned furstarting,... I got thinking of Lament of Innocence and how it's one of my fav games in the series and is largely forgotten, it's not on any of the classic collections etc,... I got in a "how can I ever play that again" mode,... looked into emulators etc and found that it's just not out there. So I fired up my ps3 for the first time in like five years really to see if there is a way to download it on that system of anything and boom,... saved to the hard drive in Lament of Innocence... so, I'm playing through it again.
