I'm in agreement with everyone.... Don't think he'd even consider it but it's worth a shot
He chose Stanford over offers like Bama and LSU, and his brother attended Harvard, so he and his family seem to value education. He wasn't a EE (summer 2022 enrollee) so I doubt he has his degree. ND might have a shot if they want him to play DE and they show interest.

I might be reading too much into this, but I found the following exchange interesting at around the 40 minute mark of the most recent II podcast.

Prister: "Have I mentioned David Bailey lately? Although that wouldn't be a great situation."
O'Malley: "You stack talent, but that wouldn't be the necessary one."
Prister: "Notre Dame is aware that Stanford has a problem and David Bailey is still there. They're aware. They also know that Emmett Mosley is still there and him coming to Notre Dame might be able to sway his younger brother."
Can you post link?

In the transfer article from Pete Nakos, Bailey is highlighted as being a graduate transfer.

The way it works IMO is this:

- Botelho and Traore are healthy enough to play but not 100%. As we’ve seen with Evans for example.

- Sneed looks more and more like a viable ILB.

- Your biggest games are to start the season

- Keep away from USC. Oregon did this with Harmon somewhat last year. They didn’t really need him, but other teams did.

It would be a very superfluous move, but I could still see them doing it if you don’t think Traore is gonna be buzzing off the edge Week 1.

He is such an ass clown. What exactly is the point in bringing this up other then to knock the kid. Get the log out of your own eye Goolsby
I think it is worth him posting it just to bring attention to the tendency to over hype (whether it be the player over hyping themselves or the media over hyping) and fans getting to the point of not to believe hype. That is how everyone needs to be with WR and QB at the moment.
Also ND fans have become cynical about whether being really really fast makes a difference because Lenzy and this guy and a few others were reported to be super fast and it didnt make a difference to their game but in reality they weren't as fast as made out. A real 4.3 may well make a heap of difference and so lets try to get a legitimate one. Who was the last 4.3 fella we had?
I've had too much coffee.

Anyone see that list of the top 90 college QBs of the 2000s on ESPN? Bake Mayfield at number 1. Trevor Lawrence at 11. ??

Just 1 Notre Dame QB.

I think most fans take all those claims from players & program with a grain of salt nowadays so no need for Goolsby to shine a brighter light on it. It’s not like ND fans were hanging their hopes on a transfer WR from a FL directorial school going into the season.

Eric Thomas has come into his own form in getting intel, I got to give that to him. Not as good as Singer or Loy, but he'll likely get there.

Did anyone listen to power hour yesterday? Is Mike Frank trolling everyone with the way he says the last name Burress? I never ever heard anyone pronounce Plaxico’s last name like that in his entire career and Frank says it constantly

Despite some of his boneheaded takes on certain topics, I generally like Goolsby and his insight into the program as a former player. This take just seems to lay bare that he has a bit of an Uncle Rico complex, though. Taking a spiteful victory lap on a kid's 40 time is pretty cringe. Mitchell had confidence in himself. Nothing wrong with that. He had a disappointing season, but seemed to carry himself with grace throughout the year. Shouldn't be taking a cheap shot at a kid like that, particularly as a former player who's a part of "the family."

We have Mike Goolsby while other schools have respectable, accomplished players on their shows and podcasts providing insight. Great.

Malik Zaire is somehow 5x as bad, though.
Zaire is the worst, remember all the stuff he said about Dante Moore after Carr committed. He is so bad for the ND brand. ND should strongly insist that he not talk to recruits if they haven't already

The way he, Kizer, and Kelly handled the 2016 QB situation is a case study of unprofessionalism. Kelly redeemed himself in my eyes. Not sure Zaire or Kizer ever did tbh.

Parts of that season feel like a fever dream. Still remember Kizer tweeting at some Barstool yokel about trying to get with Nik Stauskas' ex-girlfriend after the Nevada game.

We've come a long way. Keep perspective.
