They are lying. If the administration says it was not classified
Why isn't the administration then?when he's refusing to publish the entire thread
Oh and FWIW, he had the head of the CIA and head of the FBI today not commit to saying he would be immune from charges if he did so.when he's refusing to publish the entire thread?
For the same reason that we don't have 24/7 access to internal decision making and discussions within any administration. Just because it isn't classified doesn't mean you would want to air out disagreementsThey are lying.

Would be pretty easy to prove Goldberg is a liar.
If the administration says it was not classified (and they are the OCA and thus the authoritative source on what is and what is not classified), then why should we believe Goldberg (who has a history of lying, making up anonymous sources, and obfuscating the truth in his reporting on the Trump administration) when he's refusing to publish the entire thread?
Would seem like a pretty good time to offer to do that. He already aired out a lot of the disagreements. What sounds like is being held back is actual military intelligence and plans. So your explanation is incorrect based on what we currently know. For the same reason that we don't have 24/7 access to internal decision making and discussions
There’s a difference between airing it to the public and being unwilling to even share it with Congress. For the same reason that we don't have 24/7 access to internal decision making and discussions within any administration. Did the committee submit any formal request to have it submitted to the committee? I honestly am not tracking any formal request, or if it was just Warner putting them on the spot to produce then and thereThere’s a difference between airing it to the public and being unwilling to even share it with Congress.
Cool.Jeff has no fucking way of knowing whether the CIA representative that the Director put into the chat was "under Cover". He has no clue what he's talking about
Ossoff said they'd be getting a transcript.Did the committee submit any formal request to have it submitted to the committee?
Congressmen can't keep their mouths shut. There’s a difference between airing it to the public and being unwilling to even share it with Congress.
Now this is funny.Glad to know our national security is as secure as my fantasy football chat
I ask this honestly, as someone who doesn't use Signal.Ossoff said they'd be getting a transcript.
But if nothing is classified, why the need for the formal request? Just immunize Goldberg from any legal consequences and tell him to release it all. Call his bluff.
I don't believe he stated directly that he does. I haven't seen every word he has said on every interview....but he has strong implied that he has copies of it at all. There is no indication from anything he has said that he doesn't have copies/transcripts of the entire thing.Has Goldberg said that he saved a copy of the entire conversation in question, because if he is no longer in the group how could he get access to them again?
From either Goldberg or the actual records in one of the parties phones.unless Goldberg saved the entire conversation in screenshots how will we get a copy of the transcript?
Yes, I guess what I'm saying is that if Goldberg didn't save the entire conversation and the entire idea of Signal is that it permanently deletes all messages for everyone in the group after a certain amount of time, then how do we know this conversation isn't already deleted from all parties involved phones?I don't believe he stated directly that he does. At this point we don't. Either way, seems as though Goldberg has it all.then how do we know this conversation isn't already deleted from all parties involved phones?
More than likely yes..and that's why he held a lot of the specifics back...because the specifics would be the things at issue from a legal standpoint more so than something else.then he must he have spoken to Atlantic's legal team to make sure the current administration couldn't charge him with any crime before making this all public
I imagine he was probably visited by a couple of guys in suits clarifying a few things for him.Yes, I guess what I'm saying is that if Goldberg didn't save the entire conversation and the entire idea of Signal is that it permanently deletes all messages for everyone in the group after a certain amount of time, then how do we know this conversation isn't already deleted from all parties involved phones?
Regardless, we shall see how it plays out.
I'm sure if Goldberg did save everything he saw in the group before leaving, and it truly is classified information, then he must he have spoken to Atlantic's legal team to make sure the current administration couldn't charge him with any crime before making this all public.
Totally agree, I guess what I'm amazed by is how would these (suits) confidently would be able to say how safe he truly would be (if he did indeed keep all the classified information)....because this exact situation has likely never happened, and has hardly (if any) legal precedent I would have to assume.I imagine he was probably visited by a couple of guys in suits clarifying a few things for him.
Just finished the quick 20mins he did with Tim Miller on his podcast..and Goldberg says he still has it all.(if he did indeed keep all the classified information)
If that is the case, then the Democrats need to move heaven and earth to get thier hands on the entire transcript from Goldberg, because this administration is yelling it from a bull horn that Goldberg is a hack and lying / sensationalizing.Just finished the quick 20mins he did with Tim Miller on his podcast..and Goldberg says he still has it all.
They can't even get their own story straight. Hegseth said he was lying. The WH, NSC, and Speaker Johnson all confirmed the story was real.because this administration is yelling it from a bull horn that Goldberg is a hack and lying / sensationalizing

The American people deserve to find out who is telling the truth.
Whether they believe it when the truth is put in front of thier face for all to see is another story....
The department of defense just released a memo in January warning against using non DoD controlled electronic messaging services despite their perceived security. It specifically mentioned Signal.
This is completely inexcusable.
No....because we can't even confirm that classified intel wasn't in this conversation...and Gabbard and Ratcliffe got dog walked today by Kelly, Angus, and Ossoff on this exact issue(this link even covers controlled non-classified information...which they still broke protocols on).hasn't it been acknowledged that the chat itself stated that all classified information would be handled on another secure chat?
