ND players w/Korean heritage?

I was visiting S. Korea and had some talks with Koreans that were pretty excited about coach Freeman's Korean heritage. I was trying to think of other players with Korean ancestry to further convince them to become ND fans. Off the top of my head, I could think of Yoon, Botelho, Hamilton, as well as TJ Jones, but maybe I'm mistaken. (Just remembered Buchner as well). Do you all know if there are any others? I feel like there are, but can’t think of them. Thanks in advance for any help!

How does South Korea compare to Japan? I am currently living in Japan and it is just a short ferry over to South Korea. I love Japan and would like to visit South Korea at some point.

Honestly, I'm kinda partial to Japan. Just because it seems to be a bit richer in the mixture of the traditional alongside the modern. That's just my opinion of course, but from what I understand the Korean war and other wars destroyed a lot of the past so it's not preserved quite like Japan. But, regardless has a really distinct and proud culture and if you are right there, definitely worth checking out and experiencing!! Food is great and just an overall unique experience. I think you'd be taking the ferry to the Busan area or at least the east coast. Busan is the second biggest city right on the coast with a a lot of beaches and famous for seafood. Also, would probably need to check out Seoul which is either a short flight from Japan or even high speed rail from Busan.

Is Buchner part Korean or part Chinese? (or both?). I've seen him described online as Korean, though his ND bio describes him as "the first Chinese-American to start at quarterback at a power five level program." Either way...

Korean food is something I desperately want to like and just don’t. Went to Sunny’s in Mishawaka dozens of times. Grear atmosphere great service just never found a dish that was better than just ok. Same with the place out on McKinley that used to be a king gyros.

I briefly worked for a Korean company 20 years ago. Monday through Saturday and no holidays (x-mas, 4th, etc, nothing). It didn't last.

Ok. It would seem odd for his official Notre Dame bio to describe him as Chinese-American if he is not at least in part. And when you google you see a lot of references to him being Korean. I suppose he’s probably Asian Fusion.

His mother is 100% Japanese and his dad is 100% white. Source: his dad.
