Yeah guys like Love, Sneed, Greathouse, Faison, Moore, Schular, Gray all deserve some NIL Bump will be interested to see what happens with Price this year. Does he transfer out? I would say Williams in a way jumped him these last few weeks he brings for the the table and his per yard averages for a little higher.
People sleeping on AW gonna get woke up soon. I love what I have seen from him this year. He had two huge plays on the first drivenof the second half.

Yes, it's coming apparently in July this year. This is a good long piece by Ross Dellenger that outlines the coming post NIL Wild West era. With NIL era ending, college sports is on verge of seismic change. How will schools adapt with industry in upheaval?
It sounds like via a number of ways, the usual big $ blue bloods will find ways around the "salary cap" for schools, stated to be $20.5 mill. per team this coming year, starting this July. And yes, there will be a clearinghouse, operated by Deloitte, charged with verifying the authenticity of the "above the cap" deals using “fair market value” rates, and poised to eliminate phony booster-backed compensation agreements so prevalent in the industry over the previous three years. But the article seems to imply there will be the usual end arounds by the big boosters / collectives and tons of legal challenges which is probably making a lot of lawyers salivate. Sounds like it's going to be unchartered and messy territory.
Does this upset the die hard free market capitalists?

One thing it mentions is that you might have especially high payouts (thinking esp. for top HS & Transfer QBs) right now due to collectives looking to spend their $ now before the new restrictions kick in. (Sounds like companies looking to spend healthy budget $ before the fiscal year ends!). So you may not see as high of NIL payouts next year this time.

He was very highly touted out of HS with SEC offers. The great, irreplaceable Tony Alford recruited him for tOSU.

Most wanted the Mt. Carmel dude that ended up to Wisconsin. I think ND ended up with the right guy.

Ok, ok I know MMFF and MD not looking for a QB but this latest entrant is intriguing (and is the kind of QB MD looks for). He's definitely a Dual Threat QB with RL-like lower pass completion %. He of course is unproven in Power4 Ball. But in this latest crazy world of NIL and a shortage of experienced QBs to the highest bidder, here you have GA and FL fighting each other for this QB from Univ of Buffalo - Crazy! Georgia in Fight With Rival for 3,995-Yard QB (C.J. Ogbonna) as Possible Carson Beck Replacement

There is supposed to be a Deloitte arbiter that will determine if third party deals meet true market rates and are real NIL deals, but it seems like everyone involved thinks it will fail at the first lawsuit. While I do worry ND might try to play by the rules again, I hope they are getting comfortable enough with the current landscape and realize it really won't be that different.

This has antitrust violation written all over it. No way it stands.

So....we expect this to move to a "highly regulated" environment without the resources to truly monitor what's happening? So it's a near guarantee we'll see the cheaters rise to the top again. That really sucks but I suppose it's inevitable. Hopefully, there is a better system employed moving into the future for penalizing offenders. If you don't have the manpower to keep a watchful eye over programs, then you must have harsh penalties for the offenders. Loss of eligibility, sizable reduction in annual budgets, reduced scholarships, etc.

Players can't claim ignorance of these rules as they are now employees and operating in the market.

Even if that happens, I think it's a little different than the past, because it isn't a rule-breaking school offering an illegal bag vs. a rule-following school offering no bag. Its a rule-breaking school offering a legal bag plus an illegal bag, vs. a rule-following school offering a legal bag.

Top talent will accumulate at the top offending schools. Look at Ole Miss when they were a joke of a program and started dropping bags, all of a sudden, 5 star talent starts signing consistently there. TAMU has had a history of incredible classes that did absolutely nothing. You wonder how much they spent with zero ROI besides a couple regular season wins.

What y'all think about Isaiah Bond? Hearing he hasn't been happy at Texas and know he had good things to say about ND coming out of high school.

Seems like the first 5 games of the season he got all his yards then hit a wall no idea what happened.

They really have unlimited money - they are going to have a top 5 roster every single season until there are more guard rails around this.

Cam Miller (the Penn State dude who "fell down") has entered the portal. Tweets first came out that he was no longer on the published roster. I'm curious how this thing went down.

I thought someone posted a week or so ago we had a DE locked up as well? Is that not the case anymore?

Was he the 1st one to lose his jock strap or the 2nd one to lose his jock strap on that play?

Unless they actually enforce no contact rules, i dont see anything changing. Kids are still going to sit out the bowl games if they intend to trasnfer.
