Bellamy left ND because he felt he made the wrong choice and that ND wasn't the best fit for him.

It's been two years, so you never know how a young man may have grown, or changed his values and perspective, but I would be surprised if this happens.

Go after branch, when someone asks me who I think is the scariest player in CFB he is always the first person to pop into my head

Going into the USC game I was nervous about him and had a similar thought. But I will say, during the USC game, he seemed to be a bit lazy. I think he knew the plan was to 50/50 us to death, because there were multiple times when he didn't get off the line like at all.

If we could get him and get his effort up to max, man he'd be awesome.

Branch could be a Heisman contender in the right offense...USC found more ways to get him the ball as a Fr, he could've been a better version of R.Jay Soward if they used him remotely right. But we can only dream of him coming here. Keep a look out for Devonte Ross of Troy, a lower level version of Branch with more production in the portal.

Will Pauling from Wisconsin wonder if we reach out Mike Brown former coach had over 800 yards last year, 407 yards this year would have one year left

Good athlete but WAY too many drops this year. Think we can do better.

Now is the right time for cj Williams this time.

Speaking as someone who watched every Wisconsin game the last 2 years, he would not sniff the field at ND.

One more note on Pauling. He's a Chicago guy, from Flossmoor, about 45 minutes from Chi-Town. I know that we pay attention more to that in high school recruiting, but you can also apply that to the portal.

More like he left because he couldn't play righr away and was passed up by two guys at tge same position. Kids these days have no patience but what's really concerning is alot of them don't really care about winning either, just about PT, notoriety and NIL.

Whether you wish to believe that or not, is up to you. Your take is purely speculation.

Jayden Bellamy made the wrong choice for him out of high school, and the depth chart and his '22 DB classmates had very little to do with it.

I don’t take HS star ratings as equivalent to a stockpile of quality depth, especially in portal era. Bama played freshman like Brown and Mbakwe, is that depth to have signed and thrown in freshman right away? Multiple freshman on that list that Leonard Moore outperformed, does that mean Moore was not as good of depth for ND? Rod Heard who performed admirably at multiple spots when called upon wasn’t depth more than a freshman Bama signed?
I meant a stockpile of talent as opposed to depth, but either way, if we were to ever land a class with four 5* DBs and two 4* DBs it would literally crash this site and maybe break the internet lol. Leonard Moore played very well as a Fr but over there he wouldn't have saw the field, but alot of players particularly DBs fly under the radar if they dont attend a few camps and get verifable numbers on them, he was a legit 4* caliber player (Comp) with good size and tremendous length and All District in Tx...I take my chances with the TX guys and only wish we recruited it as well as when Davie was here. Heard was very solid as I would expect a

Heard was ok, but nothing spectacular considering hecs a 5th yr guy, I'd rather have a young elite/blue chip prospect to develop. I liked JC better and I believe we have a stud in Shuler.

Wonder who the TE that we picked up is. Most of the ones in the portal are already heading somewhere

No they weren’t but agree to disagree, not going to address each team. If you think Bama had a stockpiled secondary this year, you don’t know about the Bama secondary this year lol.
They were all worse than ours too even with our injuries
I mean injuries hapoen but any school would love to have a secondary room of...
Jackson 5*
Mbakwe 5*
Brown 5*
Mincey 5*
Woodyard 4*
Jones 3*

Those are just the guys from the top of my head not including grad transfers
We’ve got three low 4 stars that beat all those guys

No one lands 4 5 star DBs and 2 4 star DBs in a single class, it's not realistic
