I don't doubt she's qualified.

Just pointed out how the multiple tweets about "ground breaking appointment" isn't being questioned as DEI. You see how no one on the Left is questioning her as being DEI?

My god just say that Biden appointments were DEI and GOP ones are all great.
Imagine if Trump said he was going to hire a woman CoS on the trail. Then the party demands it to be a black woman. Then the media points out it is really only going to be one of three plausible people. One of them failed miserably in the primaries and has questionable qualifications, but the other two choices aren't great. So Trump has to pick the one choice...

Ok so we've established what Biden did was a terrible communications failure.

How does that change the messaging that it's not going to "handsmaid tale" because a woman is chief of staff?"

LOL I am old enough to remember when "Gah, stupid libs saying butttt Trump!". So when the propaganda accounts are doing what BrooklynDad and crew did, it's "but biden!!!".

I think you are correct that the person that tweeted the "gotcha" about handsmaid tale and Susie Wiles should've been more restrained. I don't know if anyone connected to the Trump campaign made any similar comments or not. These kind of comments serve only to undermine Susie just like Biden's comments undermined his hires.

Wiles has been a solid campaign manager. She has done a much better job keeping him reigned in. We didn't have a carousel this time or someone stupid, like Rudy running around. They got the dumb lawyer selling hats now and the serious people making decisions. This is why I'm optimisitc this time. They aren't caught by surprise this time. I think she is doing a good job and the people trying to make her gender a thing against Trump are being ridiculous.

Also- now that Kamala is done and gone for the dems- can we not admit she was terrible? She couldn't say what she would do different after a series of failures and she couldn't handle an interview. She bombed her own town halls. It was a joke.

Yes. I am pointing out that it's idiotic (like what Biden did and the terminally online people did) to make it about her gender. For someone like Virginia to spend time crying about DEI, it makes no sense to share a stupid tweet like that and hints at that he only played the DEI card because it was easy.

I have always been consistent that Kamala was a terrible option. She was essentially the 2022 Drew Pyne of the DNC, you lost your QB that was erratic but had some nice moments (Biden's debates as VP for Obama, and his likeability pre-2020), and because you failed to see how risky it was trotting out those two you had no other options and the blame should be placed on the DNC for not recruiting a better choice.

It’s just completely blowing up the entire asinine narrative that the shitlibs have been saying about him. Does a person who’s going to usher in a Handmaid tale society really appoint a woman as the most important job in his administration?

And again, it’s not like he is pointing it out and triumphing her status as a woman. All he’s spoken about her publicly is how competent she is. And come on now, I’m probably at least 50th percentile here for shitcon posters in this board for crying about Biden’s DEI lmao

lmao so having one person in your administration is enough to satisfy anyone's concerns. This is literally textbook identity politics.

Will be interesting if he can pull this one off. Would seem doubtful unless there is a lot of public pressure from the American people. A constitutional amendment is a pretty daunting process.

This would be the greatest thing to happen in American politics in my lifetime. Term limits for the House & Senate would solve a LOT of what's wrong with our system.

As much as I’d love to disagree…I think you’re exactly right. Of course, I would add reversing the Citizens United ruling as a major part of what’s wrong with our system as well.

I tend to agree with you about the Citizens United ruling. I get where the court is coming from and don't even think they're absolutely wrong from a legal standpoint, but the results have a HUGE potential for being bad for the country. Term limits for elected officials is something we can all, regardless of party, get behind.

I definitely think voters of both parties would support it. I also think politicians of both parties would be against it. How do you get career politicians to vote against their own interests? Power is hard to give up (just ask Trump.)

I bet the only way you could get it done is by also doubling or tripling their salaries as part of the bill and making it so that everyone currently in Congress starts "fresh" on the timer. Might be worth it.

It’s very clear from this immediately following Elon being on the call with Zelenesky + Elon tweeting what he did about Ukranian money + that there are people close to Trump that will stop him from hiring anyone that isn’t pro-Putin. His chief of staff also allegedly has ties there, but I don’t know the whole story. Tucker, David Sachs, etc. are literally on Russian payroll.

My question is how does all of this affect Iran, because I think Putin may just throw Iran under the bus. He doesn’t need them.

Russia has spilled a lot of blood and money
for their historical lands. Albeit modest gains (but oil). They aint giving that up. I don’t think Russia and China will let Iran get totally annihilated
