The same outlets that claim to objectively report the news should absolutely not endorse political candidates if they want to keep that objectivity. They say all this bullshit about there being a firewall between the news room and the editorial staff, but the responses from the news staff at WaPo tells you everything you need to know about that. Good on Bezos for actually trying to revive journalistic integrity. I would love to see a NYPost do the same thing and work to get actual good liberal voices for the paper. That's why I love going to RCP, their front page has good editorials aggregated with both viewpoints represented.

CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, FOX don't issue endorsements, but it's very clear by their coverage who they support.

Washington Post choosing to not endorse a candidate is fine for a start. Until newspapers and broadcast news departments start changing how they "report the news", it's all meaningless.

I have never voted for Donald Trump. Not once. I don't think he's a good person. His mafia style politics is concerning. He is a narcissist who lies about a ton of stuff. What he asked Pence to do on Jan. 6th was terrible.

But at least I have some semblance of critical thinking. I can be critical of trump and choose not vote for him but still recognize when the left has lost their mind.

I thought the Georgia case and and the classified docs cases against Trump were legit. I thought the NY case was pure and utter bullshit. When all legal analysts tell you that the prosecutor is attempting a new legal theory that's never been done before, alarm bells should be going off in your head.

I agree with you to an extent on the New York case. I believe that there were illegal things that happened, I just don't think it should have been tried and especially not in the way it was. In my mind it it weakens all the other cases because of public perception. The legal theory thing I agree with but historical we've see the legal system used in similar never before used ways. I'm speaking specifically to the introduction of RICO laws.

I appreciate what your saying and acknowledging those situations, you've done more by acknowledging those instances than pretty much everyone else on here. The issue I have specifically with Trump is he has been proven to use the media to buy and bury stories. And for a very long time during his career.

There's other instances of specific things he has done or attempted to do, some during 2016-2020, that doesn't make it's way into the media cycle that has further entrenched my belief that he would be terrible for our country. I'm really not on here to defend the Democrats. I've been very clear that I'm not a fan of all of their policies and what they've done too our country. I just firmly believe Trump is a disgusting/terrible human being that should not be running this country.

You are. The burden of proof for anything Trump related needs to be stronger than any criminal or civil court proceedings, can't include witness statements, can't include former staffers, can't include members of the same party, can't be reported by any media entity, and I'm sure I'm missing others but yeah you get the point. There is no point in even talking about him or his dealings because they will not accept it. Just stick to broad policies because you can point to the facts/figures, even then it's reduced to things like "well, 1 is too many" etc.

Of course, no one supports him or I think, they criticized his candor once? So that makes them unbiased and you're way too biased. Check mate.

I get that the timing of this and other claims helps cast a shadow of a doubt. But at certain point we have to believe that the dude who raped his wife (I know someone's going to say she changed her story and said it never happened, she didn't change her story until 2015 when he was making the decision to run, interesting timing) and accused of raping/assaulting another 20+, on record saying that he can just grab women by the pu$$y, was considered a friend and spoke about Epstein's preference for young girls.
