There’s nowhere else to put it, soooo…I just bought an Ampeg SVT tube amp with an Ampeg 8x10 cab, turned the volume up all the way and the gain halfway, played a note on my pbass and I ACTUALLY SAW the sound wave! (Well, not really, but I did see the air and the vibration.)
8x10 cabinet! Rock n roll! Lol

The Smashing Pumpkins put out a new album on Friday, 'Aghori Mhori Mei.' Unlike the last 2 synth driven albums, this album has guitars.

Billy wrote his best with 'Siamese Dream' & 'Mellon Collie' and after the first listen I like the new album.

Just caught Bush, Jerry Cantrell and Candlebox tour last night. Excellent show!

Would recommend if they're coming close to you if 90s/early 2000s rock is your groove.

Candlebox? I haven’t heard anything from them since the mid nineties. I thought they were basically a “1 album wonder.”

While they're no metallica... 😉

I was a massive fan of that scene growing up. They've continued to put out albums and a few of their songs have 100 million streams. I'd put them firmly in the "decent career in music" category

I looked them up and had no idea they were from Seattle (I thought I knew all the Seattle bands.) They’ve definitely had a decent career, better than 99% of bands that get a record contract. They just didn’t seem to get the airplay they got with their first album, although a couple of singles from that album lasted through the ‘90s.

I just remember their debut as well. I did know they were from Seattle but other than that the only thing I remember is they were one of the first bands signed by Madonna’s Maverick label.

Saw them in the early 90s. Felt like a HS gym. That’s all I remember.

I actually like the ”new” Alice In Chains lead singer. Great pipes.

He was good too. Definitely the same octave as Layne.
Gavin Rossdale was on another level as a frontman. I'd never seen Bush live before and gotta say he has the magnetism that all the great ones do.
William Duvall is awesome for aic, but Jerry is taking Greg puciato with him on the last several solo tours. Greg sings in a bunch of bands and is really good.

Yup. Duvall is who I was referencing. Perfect fit for AIC. No one can touch Layne’s haunting voice.

A coworker of mine saw the Bush/Candlebox/Jerry Cantrell show in Indy and was impressed.

Candlebox is on their 'Goodbye' tour and they had a new album come out last year. The lead singer has a good voice and is still holding up.

I saw them in 2000 on their final tour at the time with the 4 original members.

This show still holds up as my best concert. No opening band, they played for 2 1/2 hours, and played about 25 songs.

The photo shoot was a month ago. Apparently they laughed and joked the entire time.

My favorite band in the 90s. Pearl Jam a distant second. I saw them at UIC in 2005. Really hope this trial run goes well and they take it to Europe and then the USA. They'll do well if they come to the States.

I’m not sure we can be friends anymore. I’d put Pearl Jam then 311 then about a couple light years of distance to anyone else in the 90s music scene. Lol

Ten is perfect. Not one single note is out of place or wrong. 😂

No way dude……Type O Negative, Prong, Lords of Acid way better than Pearl Jam or 311 in the 90’s 🤘🏼💀 I thought Pearl Jam‘s predecessor, Mother Love Bone, was really good though 😊

You keep your whore mouth shut about 311. There isn’t a single band alive today that puts out consistently unique and good music as 311. Except maybe Pearl Jam. Haha. 😆

If I want to chill out and get high. 311
If I want to get hype and bang the old lady? 311.
If I want to hit the waves? 311
If I want to get some shit done at work. 311.
All day any day playa.
