Yeah that's exactly what this ruling creates the room for. They specifically talked about political assassinations during oral arguments and then still ruled this way. Stunning really.

It's actually pretty straightforward:

Republican president does something of dubious legality: Official action

Democrat president does something of dubious legality: Unofficial action

I'm sure the Biden administration is doing all it can in regard to the US/Canadian border.. There is no need to send the army there....unless Alberta does indeed decide that they want to join the US. I could see a small continent being deployed during the transition

Well sure. If conservatives don't like decisions and feel that rulings were not constitutional, they have to just sit and take it. The court has spoken.

If liberals don't like them, then the court stinks and needs to be replaced.

I'd say they've got bigger balls than the GOP. Trump talked about locking up Hillary once he was President, but never took any steps once he was office. On the other hand, the Democrats have actively tried to lock up and impeach/stymie Trump from Day 1.
