a lot of guys should be getting a bump up after this week IMO:

Floyd
T. Robinson
Cave
Newman
Fleming

Side Note: Filer is huge. Golic played really well in the game.

He wasn't targeted as much as Buckner. I can't wait to see what Floyd can do when he gets some heavy reps with Clausen and Crist.

Fleming and Filer both looked big and fast. Golic looked kinda undersized, but he played great
from what I saw. I never got a good look at Lane Clelland, but he got a lot of PT. And Floyd definitely deserves to be a 5 star.

Any chance he gets a 5th star GG?

It'd be really nice, but I doubt it. Rivals tends to get locked into their perceptions of players and then their rankings somtimes suffer because of it. Floyd had a very good week of practice as well as a very good game so I wouldn't be suprised if they moved him back upto the highest level of four star status but they probably won't bump him to a 5 star.

Blanton is another one that had a great week and will get his fourth star back.

I agree I don't think he'll get the 5*, but there have been bigger jumps in the rankings so don't totally count it out. On a side note Hunter dominated again today and he will get the fifth star

He should, he had a very good Sr. season as well as a pretty good Srine Bowl and an oustanding week at the AAA Bowl. The East DB coach said he was the MVP of the defensive secondary this week and because of injuries he had to ask RJ to play all four differnt positions in the secondary and he did a very good job at all of them. His only knock has been his recovery/make-up speed if he gets beat on a double move. But then you get guys like Mike Farrel with preconcived opinions and then that cause them to act skeptical all week, like the player doesn't belong there or something.

Farrell is worthless. People need to revolt every time Farrell's name is mentioned as an appeal to authority... because he is so clearly not an authority anyone should be appealing to.

No he didnt. Whenever Cave was in against him Cave owned him completely. The only time Omar got a sack was when Cave was out.

He won't be up against Cave everyday for the next 4 years. He was dominate yesterday. Just because one person stalemates you, it doesn't mean that others do

Golic does appear to be a bit undersized (I'm sure room to "grow" though), but his technique looked very good. You can tell that he's been well coached (do you think dad had some input?)!

Not sure how the stars will be handled with Floyd, but I cannot see how Rivals will continue to believe there are 12 better WR's in this class. After his season and this game, I would find it hard to believe Floyd is not one of the top 5 WR's in the 2008 class. Rival's might not agree, but I bet Boubacar does.

I was very pleased with Golic and Newman. They were probably two of the lowest rated guys in the game and both showed themselves very well. Golic seems like a natural OC where his being undersized is not such a detriment. Newman managed to hold the line very well, just what you want at the nose in the 3-4. A little slow in pursuit, but in Corwin's system if he can hold the line and allow the LB's to make plays he will be an excellent fit.

Having watched that game I completely agree that Floyd looks like the best WR out there. Really the surprising thing is just how much speed he actually has - when he beat Cissoko for the TD grab, it was speed more than anything else that let him get by. This is the one freshman that I see being a starter by the end of the 08 season.

Rivals has Miami Northwesterns #2 WR ahead of Floyd......they were asleep at the wheel during the last rankings. His dropping has puzzled me the most because he accually did better his Sr. year than that of his amazing Jr. year.

Floyd is now the number 27 prospect in 2008. Most likely meaning he will be made a 5 star by tomorrow afternoon.

I'm hearing that Floyd will be a 5 star, but Filer and Walker have dropped out of the top 100. T.Robinson also made a big jump up to 37.

Newman moved into top 250, thats what I want to know. Oh, and if Blanton made a return to his 4 star.

i think the cut-off may be #25. but i;m not sure about that.
Thats why rankings are retarded, there never should be cutoffs of there are only 3 prospects worthy of 5 star status then just give them thats status and them goes for it in the other direction if there 102 prospect worthy of that status then give it and if you do it any other way you end just making it cheap and pointless.

Plain and simple Michael Floyd is an elite prospect regardless as is Deion Walker and the sad thing is that he will drop because he didn't showcase his talents at the UA-AA game. IMO both are top 5 WR's.
