Hilarious calling Purdy Ian Book. Dude led the league is numerous categories, and those he didn't is partially because he sat the final week. He also had the 2nd longest air yards completion of the weekend... and that is in the wet weather we all saw in that game.

Can't believe people refuse to believe Purdy is a top tier QB.
Jordan Love being Tommy DeVito is at least equally hilarious.

Absolutely. Love played amazing all season. He made a bad throw late as a 1st year starter. Hard to gauge anything from the game, from a passing perspective, when you see the weather.

He didn’t play amazing all season but definitely had some great games.

Not trying to split hairs but I agree; he had an abysmal month in October. Like to the point where GB fans were planning on his replacement in the draft as a fringe top 5 pick.

His turnaround from November on was pretty incredible to witness. They didn't have the toughest schedule but he put up the best numbers in the league down the stretch. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle, but he earned the contract he's going to get this offseason, particularly when you factor in the youth he's surrounded with.

Wow. Didn't they just pay him a ton of money?
It was supposedly a 2 year, $10M deal. He served half.

Probably going to the Eagles according to a few NFL Tweeters.

Packers looking for a DC and it looks like they have no interest in Brandon Staley. McDaniel and Staley would be an interesting match.

I'd be surprised if anyone had interest in Staley after that stint in LA. Didn't he call the defense and HC?

I'd be surprised if he didn't.

There is no logic to him completely falling off of the map entirely considering some of the twat waffles that have been recycled through this League over the course of multiple decades. Ron Rivera has supposedly already been interviewing for DC jobs. He's 62 years old and just got fired from his second consecutive head coaching job (102-103 as a head coach) At what point does the League move on from someone like this?

Staley (24-24) was not ready for the HC job in L.A., and maybe wasn't ready for an HC job at all, but definitely not THAT one. Prior to his HC stint, his track record goes like this:

2016 Bears Defense: #15
*2017 Bears Defense: #10
*2018 Bears Defense: #3

2019 Bears Defense: #8

2018 Broncos Defense: #22
*2019 Broncos Defense: #12
2020 Broncos Defense: #21

2019 Rams Defense: #13
*2020 Rams Defense: #1
2021 Rams Defense: #17

*Staley was with the team

He can coordinate an NFL defense and is fairly young into his NFL coaching career. I would have no issue with Eberflus and the Bears giving him a look as DC since they still need one.

Staley came up under Fangio. I don't see McDaniel going that route, especially in light of those comments he made prior to playing the Chargers. Staley should get DC looks, or maybe he goes with Fangio as an LB coach (Eagles?).

The Dolphins had a lot of injuries defensively. If they are healthy and make a few tweaks, they should be right there next year in terms of being an AFC contender. That DC hire is going to be a big one.

Dolphins either promote Anthony Campanile or maybe they snag Ejiro Evero. Evero is another dude I'd love to see DC the Bears, but the guy has been getting HC interviews. Seems like a matter of time.

Canales came up under Poodle at USC and Seattle. I don't know much about him other than that.

So the guy who replaced Leftwich has an HC job and Leftwich is still unemployed. Fascinating.

Generally happy to see minorities get HC shots in the NFL but these teams are clowns for passing on Vrabel

Stupid teams continue to make stupid Decisions.

Just like the panthers giving their new coach a 6 year deal. Dumb money
