Thats why the baseball Hall of Fame is the biggest joke there is. A bunch of stat nerds who never played the game vote on it. And if you ever piss one of them off, they write a column telling the whole world, and you don't get into the HOF. They ought to remove the names from the applications and base it on stats alone. It should be voted on by athletes, not dorks behind desks who get their revenge in this sick manner.
Jim Rice put the fear of God into pitchers for 10 years. Some of his homeruns haven't even landed yet. Look at some of the stiffs they put in in the last decade, and compare their stats to Rice. It's a joke.
