That's fair. I've had nothing but great interactions with almost every officer I've met in the towns I've lived. I realize that's anecdotal as well, and I've lived a rather sheltered life where most small town cops aren't regularly in great danger, so I've been blessed to live among pretty good individuals that served with less job stress than others in their profession.
Count yourself as lucky. One of my early memories is of being in the car when my father was pulled over. He had accidentally gone down a one way downtown. I remember the anger and fear I felt as this cop berated and emasculated my father in front of his wife and 2 small children. I was 3. My father had another similar experience years later. I was also with my elderly mother a few years ago when she was pulled over and treated in an absolutely despicable and completely unprofessional manner. It was all I could do to keep my composure.

I can go on about other experiences I’ve had, including being arrested for something I didn’t do and the police didn’t care, but I won’t. As I said before, I completely understand how difficult police work can be, but cops like these should never be allowed to behave the way they did.

Will you address your points about me saying that people should not be held accountable for crime? Are you going to walk that back or are you going to give your phone back to grandpa, because it seems pretty childish to not just say "I was being hyperbolic".

I have explained, a few times, but I'll do it again.

1) It is well documented that for a number of years that retailers are moving away from expensive big box stores. See an example of Target's retail footprint and pay attention to 2014.
2) These companies are publicly traded and need to maintain investor confidence.
3) Communicating to your investors that you're not managing the change in ecosystem reflects poorly on your governance and will drop your share price.
4) The current political climate allows for easy acceptance of this without having to provide hard facts and data.
5) Companies use political movements to their benefit all the time to boost sales or their share price. Let's use Target again, remember when there was the LGBTQ products they carried to try and make it seem like they were this woke company? Oh and then their share price dropped 15% and they stopped promoting it?
6) Anecdote, so this should be the strongest point, I have worked on consulting engagements for REIT's that are buying and repurposing malls because big box is dying. These companies are trying to get out.

You didn’t say criminals shouldn’t be held accountable. Okay? Yet you keep backing out of even giving a guess on a simple question? Unless you are a policeman or have been one, it’s disingenuous to call police pussies because they don’t like criticism.

There you go!

Ok - any cop who has quit because they have hurt feelings over public opinion is a pussy, so to put a percentage on it I would say 100%.

Suicide by cop? Seems otherwise odd to resist arrest for a simple traffic stop if you've spent 16 years incarcerated. Maybe he gave up? Sad ending either way.
We don’t know what he was arrested for; he was cooperating up until that point. Could it have brought on some kind of PTSD reaction? We’ll probably never know what happened.

Very good possibility. Just an awful ending. He shouldn't have gone away for 16 years, and then to get out and get shot...didn't need to happen.

The body cam footage came out, it's not pretty. Cure doesn't seem with it at all, possible drugs affecting his actions.

Unbelievable.

That officer had a lot more patience than I would have. Also, what a weak stun gun. If the stun gun isn’t going to take the dude down to the ground, why use it?

People who are pissed about this should have to deal with that situation.

Passed a policeman going 100mph? Hard to tell for sure, but it appears that he my be under the influence the way he swatted at the officers arm, then the peculiar way he raised his arms and manner in which he placed his hands on the truck.

Saying that he complied with instructions until he learned he was under arrest is being very generous. Yes he put his hands on the back of the truck while still facing the officer. Yes, he kind of turned around if you count twisting his upper body around slightly. He knew exactly what he was supposed to do, and he didn't comply.

So when do we point out that propping up the “rich Jew puppet master” as the evil guy is antisemitic. Probably will see a lot of backlash from those fierce defenders, surely they’ll call this out and address it. Would look very hypocritical for them not to.

Wow, what a cluster. A TN legislature should be submitting a bill immediately to fix this problem.
