Griffis (starter) got hurt in the first half of the Va Tech game. Back up (Kern) stunk it up pretty bad. He also got hurt and 3rd stringer (Martucci) played the entire Pitt game. Martuuci was awful most of the Pitt game but he did get hot late and they had a couple of drives for TD's.
None of these guys are any good. We'll see a heavy dose of zone read. We should concentrate on stopping the run as their RBs are pretty good and the QBs aren't. Very much a short passing game. Griffs stats are padded by the first three games vs Elon, Vandy and Old Dominion.

Their defense is good. Fast and feisty. Similar to Duke.

Great, another game where we beat our heads against the wall all game offensively. Go 2-12 on third downs. Are shocked about the playcalling and lack of execution.

Right. So that’s the only game the 3rd stringer Martucci played I guess. Pitt handed that game to WF on a silver platter. Martucci will always have the Senior Day win.

Their D is not as good as duke

They have a few good players but their D is closer to Pitt than duke, not bad but not good

If this is a question to me, absolutely not. They’ve ran the ball well all year. I did state they would be starting one or two new players on the line due to injury , and with Clemsons average pass game we should be able to stop their run since we can play 1-1 outside. We did play 1-1, we did stop their pass game for the most part, but we had a bunch of terrible run fits that allowed Clemsons offense to score 24 instead of say 13-17 that I predicted. Also never expected nd to sub out 4 secondary players and put 4 backups in for an entire drive, then not pull them out as they’re getting gashed

A lot of issues with nd offensively and defensively vs Clemson that didn’t make any sense

Wakes D has a pulse, but like Pitt their Onis so bad we should be able to dominate their offense and have a lot of possessions for nd

It was Pitts as well, and one of our previous QBs was on their sideline, and a previous RB and LB.

Even with average coaching we should stomp them. With that said, their D does have a pulse so our offense does at least need to show up.

Notre Dame has been good at home and coming off a bye. Defense plays tough, and the running game opens up late in the 3rd and 4th. 38-10.
