I can’t stand Narduzzi, for example, but dude knows more football than I could ever hope to know, & I even played it.
So it rubs me the wrong way how every season some coach is an idiot & has to be fired.
Last year was Golden & Washington.
This year O’Leary & Parker.

Golden might be the best DC in the country this year.
Washington lost Foskey & the Ademilola twins on the Dline & they are even better this year.
O’Leary has straight up coached his ass off at the Safety position.
Parker is a great TE coach. TBD on OC, but he isn’t an idiot.

The coach I’ve personally been least impressed with this year is Freeman, TBH.

Or the Hillman situation.
He still signed 2 4 Star Safties in that class.

He had two dropped INTs that would have is in the playoffs right now against OSU.

And the word "clueless" is over used rhetoric, but you're either clueless or didn't watch the Louisville game.

So among 2-3 playing at all times, O'Leary's being credited with developing one (Watts) over 3 years? Am I missing one that improved dramatically?

I don't have anything to say about O'leary good or bad, but there's a list of "untouchable" position coaches at ND and he ain't on it.

I swear most of you never watch other football games or understand it.
Safety was the position I played at the D1 level, (only for a year), so I am particularly tough on it.
Golden puts A LOT of pressure on his Safties with his blitz scheme.
If Brown “sucked’ ND wouldn’t have the great Defense they have.
Brown is top 30 in the nation on Efficiency ratings, that doesn’t equate to “suck.”
Watch other teams play & you will see “sucks” when it comes to Defense.

Him dropping 2 and being too slow with angle to catch Henderson …that’s 3 plays vs osu resulted in all 17 points (yes watts missed tackles first on run)

Brown missed tackles on both Louisville td runs
Yes offense as a whole was bigger reason, but again, brown has been terrible at making plays when given the opportunity

Ok, I'd amend my statement to say Brown is the least impactful starter on the defense. I don't need to be a football coach to understand what happened when he dropped the game-winning INT against Ohio State and whiffed on tackles against Louisville.

At the end of the day, he's a 6th year player who's not getting drafted

The bolded is where I am. I think Shuler is a player. And the one from Ohio got injured during the can he play or not window for this year. So I think that class is gonna work out decent. This year I kind of question the hell out of but a lot of that is bc I think Urlacher is a lb/rover. But Tae Johnson is my favorite recruit in the class and Taebron has some tools and at a minimum seems like a smart good teammate type
