I think I'm 50/50 on GRob. Here's why.

Good: Everyone knows that he's been hanging out with the ND commits all week. Anthony McDonald told a reporter he thought he would be Irish. Brandon Newman said something similar earlier today with a smile on his face in an interview on irishillustrated.com

Bad: Put yourself in his shoes. Would you go to ND if on Saturday afternoon you knew they already had Goodman, Floyd, and Walker? And if he goes to ASU he is close to home.

I'd be thrilled if we get him and D Walk but I wish him the best in whatever he does. Seems like a nice guy.

ASU already has 4 WRs in this recruiting class though. It's going to be loaded no matter where he goes.

Thanks Gipper. Rivals says ASU has 2 WRs and 2 Aths. Not sure what ASU's plans are for the two athletes but the one WR is a 4 star and the other a 3 star.

Goodman is rising 3 star, Floyd is a 4 star and Walker is a 4 star if he picks ND. Granted there will be competition everywhere. I don't know exactly what the coaches from both schools have said to GRob. Just trying to think like a high school senior in his position.

-------Goodman is a 4 star on all recruiting sites. Gerell also said he likes ASU because he'd be a big fish in a small pond (hardly sounds threatened about surpassing the lower rated WR's they have coming in).

Deion Walker's Dad had a interview today and said that Deion will announce after the 1st or 3rd quarter. He went on to say that GRob's decision has no bearing on Deion's decision. He also closed the interview giving the ND recruiting boards reps for their positive outlook on his son. The whole interview looked positive for ND.

Gerell said in an interview today that he doesn't know for sure if he'll announce on saturday. He said it literally depends on if he feels the time is right when he wakes up saturday morning.

Well, if Gerell commits then it would just be a few defensive guys that are commited to other schools, Kenny Page and Cyrus Gray unless ND makes a late move on someone else.

If anybody would be threatened by the WR's ND already has in this class it would be Walker IMO because ND has a player of similar WR in John Goodman but that said he's not threatened by Goodman or anybody else.

Gerrell Robinson is very raw but with awesome upside and no matter where he goes it's going to take a season or so before he's ready to be one of the main WR's.

Robinson has really supprised me this week with his athletism. He is playing safety in the game and will probably start. He hasn't played defense all year and there are some marquis DBs out there. Pretty impressive

Somebody like a Brian Urlacher, a safety turned linebacker who dominates everybody and is everywhere on the field would be nice.

Maybe all of these wide receivers love the competition and know the better the competition the harder they'll have to work to get playing time, and the harder they work, the better everybody gets. It would be better to go somewhere with a good core of receivers. It would show confidence and determination to become a better player for the next 4 or 5 years.

if he did announce somewhere else i think he'd be making a huge mistake. i'm sure he'll do fine elsewhere but there's simply no reason for him to go anywhere else!
