Guys,
Let's all move on. We have Hafis, Brandon, Sean, Ethan all committed and ready to play. Ian Williams already will man the middle this coming year. Hopefully, we can add one more good body, but we are building talented depth.

I agree with everything but I do not believe that the loss of OH is as big as Trattou. Trattou was a big name in a very limited class of D-linemen. Omar, on the other hand, is one of four committed defensive linemen. Newman and Williams can both play nose tackle so, the position is still covered by two quality players. CW and CB still have time to get one or two D-linemen to cover the loss. Martin, Jones or Lewis-Moore might lessen the pain. Omar would have been a big help in improving the situation on the line for the Irish, but he wasn't going to be the savior to take us to a NC. We still have Ian Williams and this kid can play!!:clap:

I agree with the overall feeling... until ND gets back in the game with D linemen it'll be hard to compete with the top level programs... and for some reason we have been snake bit in that area for YEARS now... Justin Tuck and a handfull of others... our list the last ten years is REAL top heavy

Who's Omar Hunter? Never heard of the guy! I've heard of Hafis and Newman but Hunter never.

No thank you, why would I want to read about a person that doesn't keep his word. The coach made it clear- don't commit if you're not 100% sure.

I agree...it's a big loss. HOWEVER, he has not committed to UF yet...so let's hope we get him in the end.

ND did the right thing. We can't wait for Omar to make up his mind (again). We gotta fill a need, and he ain't it.

Need GG help on this. Have heard that Mike Martin is defitently interested in the Irish., but doesn't have an offer yet.( Info gathered from other sites.) Have you heard anything GG ? And second can N.D. offer him during the dead period. ?

Will CW offer a scholly to a player who is already committed elsewhere? Didn't he have Jonas Gray decommit from Nebraska before he was offered?

Well, with a coaching change at UM, and a player who is open to have us look at HIS film....I would say yes.

I'm not sure about Gray, but obviously if he was looking, he is fair game as well. Such is our policy.

He is a Michigan commit, but has apparently been in touch w/ CW, and I believe we are looking at his film. He reportly has major interest in the Irish, and could garner an offer within weeks. Don't be surprised if this one comes home to the Irish.

From what I have read he is actually considering ND...he is a lot like Hunter! Big strong and athletic...this would definitly help relieve the sting of losing Omar!!! Is he playing in any of the all-star games this weekend? Saturday could be a GREAT day. :)

typical rockne19, if they are committed to Florida probably a good chance there going to major in underwater basket weaving....which means they won't get pass the admissions office at ND.
