Trattou

Anyone heard anything else of Trattou?? I know he went to Flordia for a visit...but thought nothing of it until I read an article saying that the Irish coaches are worried that he may change his mind now. This would be a HUGE lose to the defense of the future and was wondering if anyone in the Jersey area or someone on here had heard anything lately.

if he cancels his unofficial visit to ND this weekend, then anybody that is on the edge of the cliff, jump.

see how it goes down. Florida already has 4 DEs in this class, so hopefully JT sees that and sticks to his committment.

I think if he makes it back to nd for his visit then he will be here. I think talking to brown about where he fits in the d is his biggest concern and if brown can talk to him about it then I think he's still nd.

.................................................For the first time, I am emotionally distraught with recruiting. When you spend time posting about hwo the defense will be, and how certain members of that will rise to the top, and then that defensive commit may not commit... well... it's a hard pill to swallow.

I have a lot of trouble buying this. Scout and Rivals have had NOTHING on Trattou since the AAA game. If there were really a chance of him leaving, wouldn't there be some talk about it in places other than message boards?

Agreed. Not worth worrying about.....yet.

Well I actually saw a few mentions of it in article. That Trattou went to Florida, and Charlie was worried, so he went out to meet up with Tratou in NJ.

and now there are some reps there from florida visiting JT at his school today. Not sure if Meyer is one of them, but there are some florida coach's there today. JT is suppose to come to ND this weekend for an unofficial visit.

Just shit to think about, I don't think JT would jump ship and decommitt, but there is a ton of stuff for him to think about with ND's new DC. JT's new role may consist of him moving to a stand up LB in the 3/4 scheme and he isn't crazy about that, so he is rethinking his situation. Can't blame him, he is doing his homework, rightfully so. Would I pissed if we lose him over this. F'N A RIGHT!!!

I read somewhere from a UF fan, don't remember what board it was that they probably want him at DT. I also read that they might be in NJ to talk to Anthony Davis.

I hope your right, b/c we thought the same thing about DT Will Blackwell b4 he committed to LSU where he'll have plenty of competition too vs. ND where he'd probably be a starter in '08.

Blackwell stayed in his homestate though. It is always going to be tougher to pull a kid out of his homestate. So this one is a tad different.

What is happening here, probably, is a situation of a kid fearing the unknown with a new DC, I don't know how much Minter was involved in JT's recruiting, but with a new guy coming in and switching to a 3-4 and moving him to a stand up LB spot, where he would drop back into pass coverage at times, its all new to him and JT probably thinks, "f**k that!" after playing DE for a better part of his life probably.

This unofficial visit this weekend is very important to help straighten this out and hopefully help put this shit to rest.

I just cannot understand why Weis can't get D players. I surmise that he must only concentrate on the O players. He had better get it together SOON!!!

This just sucks.

Well, I can honestly say I wish the worst for Trattou's career at UF. Right now I hope this decision haunts him for the rest of his life. I wish him all the success in the world off the field but hope he gets blown the **** up in the SEC.

I'm so pissed I could throw a baby into a giant been bag.

This sucks but, I don't really understand how you can blame Charlie for this.
He'll realize his mistake soon enough. Sometimes I wonder why more people don't want to play for ND. I mean, we've got one of the most storied College Football Programs ever. Probably THE most storied. I guess some folks just don't understand tradition?
Ah, well, I still have faith. Maybe we'll snatch up a few surprises.

Maybe this is all just one big future Punk'd episode and Trattou will end up signing with ND at NSD............that was the scotch talking.

For anyone that has any doubts there is a new free Scout article about how it all went down, and why he did it.

I blame Charlie because he always goes after O players first, That's just BS. He KNOWS we need D players. So here we are AGAIN w/o much help. WAKE UP Charlie!!!!!!!! Defense wins championships.

Not every kid is made for ND, but bailing out at the last minute won't win you friends anywhere. Lorenzo Booker was almost Irish, chose FSU, and I lol'd at his mediocre career at FSU. He might be a good pro, but I always felt he chose the wrong school as well.

I hope his ass gets lost in the shuffle at Florida, and he is never heard from again. He wasn't a Notre Dame man. Hell with him. If he can't distinguish between the two schools, he must be a dumb shit. He and his old man....."FOOTBALL BE VERY GOOD TO ME"....Justin Trattou, you piss me off.
