For some reason I had it in my mind that he tore it during fall camp last year. That’s a couple more months recovery time than i thought he had. Not that my thoughts make any difference in the matter.

They really need to ease him into this season—this is definitely a better safe than sorry situaiton.

It's been a tad over a year which seems to be the norm for recovery from this injury. The key now is getting the flexibility back in the heel. From that brief clip, it looks to me like he's ready, but that's just me. I think how hard they let him go in fall camp will tell us if he's going to be eased in.

His acceleration is excellent apparently. I think he will be number 3 to start but they’ll get him on the field a lot.

You think G as #2? I think Jadarian at #2 is his to lose. All reports is he hasn't lost a step and he looks fantastic to my stupid untrained eyes.

If that hold up with pads and contact, I can't imagine he's not #2.

Whatever, this RB room is so incredibly stud. It's a great debate.

I dont think Price will be the 2 purely based on limiting his workload as he comes back from the Achilles.

I think price start season at 3 or 4 and is the back that gets a lot of time when we’re up 20+ in fourth quarter early in the season.

The run he had at last year's B&G game really showed what he is capable of.

My question for him is coming back from his injury and battling carries with Love.

How can anyone project what Price will do this year? He is the ultimate wild card.

Estime is #1 to start the season
Payne, Price, Ford and Love are all contributors in some fashion and 3 out of the 4 will get 5+ carries/game if healthy.

I want to see Price make it through fall camp. I want to see how the achilles and Price respond to a gradually increasing workload. I am rooting for Price as much as anyone but the coaches and training staff will need to ease him in slowly.

My greatest hope is by the 3/4 mark, we're again wondering if he should be the #1 back only because he's challenging Estime in terms of productive carries.

I love this group of RBs, I was dreaming of this through much of Kelly's tenure.

Did anyone else listen to O’Malley on the NC State pod. He mentioned that multiple people told him that Price was RB1 before getting hurt last year.

His score was easily my favorite of the day. I jumped off of my couch like he scored a goal in extra time to win a soccer match. It was 13-0 in the first quarter against Navy. LOL.

Seriously, really happy for him and I think he's going to have some games this year against better competition where he has some big runs.

The way he hit the hole reminded me of Dexter Williams
Good call. I was having flashbacks of Josh Adams and thinking maybe we have a guy that can have those types of runs again. I think you have the better comp.

JD is the real deal, he’s a featured back type talent. Does he get back to the same level pre-injury, idk? If not for the injury there’s a good chance he’s our number 1. Could you imagine a scenario where Estime is number 2? At this point I cannot. I’m just happy to see JD back in the game. I wish him the best going forward. TBH, I’d hate to be DM trying to figure out which of these backs needs to go in. It’s a great problem to have, but a huge burden dealing with 18-20 year olds.

Great run up the middle by Price yesterday, he was untouched once he saw the hole.
