Wow, I can't wait to get all excited about ND, only to have crooked refs cost them in the NCAA tournament.

Don't believe me? Watch the Duke game from the Sweet 16 6 years ago.

Nothing is official yet. Alex said that is just his mother's opinion, although it does look like it may come down to ND and Illinois

Alex Legion wore Kentucky sweats, but he continued to size up potential new homes on a visit to Notre Dame.

The 6-foot-4-inch shooting guard, who is transferring from the Wildcats, made the rounds with the Irish Wednesday. He spoke with academic advisors, took in afternoon practice, chowed down at Outback Steakhouse and spent time with Irish point guard and former AAU teammate Tory Jackson.

"It went well," Legion said late Wednesday night. "I enjoyed hanging out with my old teammate, Tory Jackson. I think coach (Mike) Brey is a good coach. They have a nice program here."

After visiting Illinois earlier this week, Legion will return home to Michigan on Friday and make his decision soon.

Asked if he had a favorite, Legion said, "It's only two schools. If I had a favorite, I would have committed already."

If he comes, the depth is going to be crazy. Maybe a little thin in the frontcourt with Kurz graduating, but Hillesland could take that spot. Legion was a top 50 recruit in the country. Jackson was a 2 star. If he plays up to his potential, this team could win the Big East.
