So all of this week, I've been helping out at a local elementary school. I monitor the lunch period for kindergarten and first grade, and then go out to recess with them afterwards. Then I come back in, and do the next two grades, etc. During the lunch periods, I'm just supposed to walk around and help the kids out if they need something, ie. they can't open a ketchup packet, or they spilled their milk, or whatever else it is. During the 2nd/3rd grade lunch period, a little third grade girl raised her hand, so I went over to see what she needed.

I was wearing my Notre Dame sweatshirt, and she points at the large "Notre Dame" and asks, "Is that Dame or lame?" I thought she was a good kid, too.

Proof that parents aren't doing a good job these days.

Kids these days have no respect. Did you send her to the office?

It's nice to see wannabe's do this, but sometimes.......the burden of greatness is much to bear.
