He’s an elite projection. He’s not an elite player right now but an easy projection with incredible upside.

He camped at ND last summer before he really blew up. Got an early offer. We’ll see how much that means relative to how much he could get paid.

You'd assume the "experts" would evaluate or reevaluate him with added stars, which would bolster his rankings.

At the risk of being redundant, this kid is way closer to a 5 star, top 30 type prospect. My favorite defensive prospect in the class barring unearthing another Kyle Hamilton safety type....
Hell, this kid could probably do well at safety based on his instincts and athleticism.
Reminds me of Isaiah Simmons.

Criminally underrated. I expect him to significantly climb in the rankings. Heck, if he commits or trends to UGA 247 will probably make him a top 150 player.

His highlights definitely display a high football IQ. Knows where to be, where to go and when he gets there he goes through his tackles. I doubt he misses many.

One thing that raised my eyebrows on the ISD pod, Jamie talked about Cole and Rezac as potential rovers and how he views them as a take one of the two, not both.
Then he said he has Rezac rated higher than Cole.... I value his opinion as much or more than anyone else on the ND beat, but was very surprised at that take.
Anyone else share that take?

This is ultimately the staff's decision in the end, but if I am leaning one way or the other right now, based on what I have seen I'd go with Cole.

I’d take both. If they watched Rezac workout, which apparently they did. And he moves like a 4.5 guy, which it looks like he does. I’d value that over quite a bit in the class. But…

I haven't really done all that well with assumptions when it comes to recruiting, but if this was ultimately the case I would not be disappointed.

yeah i don't like assuming but i worry they took kalhoun and rezac because they don't feel as good with cole now that he's blowing up

Wild how three weeks ago not very many of us knew who he was. Rivals, 247, etc. seemed to overlook him as well. He had a profile thread created six days ago.

It's a fast moving system out there.

Nothing is stopping the staff from taking Cole, Asa, or both. This isn’t a salary capped fantasy draft. We can keep adding good players as they want to come.

Cole looks thicker than Rezac now, but based on highlights, Rezac looks more athletic and still has some room for development.

Jamie U may be proven incorrect down the line, but his assessment on the two as it stands today seems spot on if you watch over the highlights of both guys and compare notes.

Cole has the offer list that excites people more, which is totally understandable.
