Not a single person said that. To absolutely no one's surprise you are bringing nothing of substance to the board and have already derailed about 8 threads. Do better or get a different hobby

To be fair, it depends who you listen to.

Mukam and Houstan are projects, let's be real. Both have played football for only a few years, and played in the states later in their careers. Traore has high upside, that has been a near consensus amongst the recruiting community, but comes with injury issues. Vernon could be great, but he's still really raw.

Good thing is that they don't need them to play from the start, so they can develop them without rushing them.

I don’t think Vernon is raw, I think he’s on the trajectory you would expect a Frosh DL who has played a good amount of football.

If you watch his All-American bowls practices, you can see he's still a raw player. The size is there, and you don't need to worry about bulking him up too much. But, he doesn't know how to use his hands that well. He rushes like he doesn't have a plan. You'll see snaps where he jumps into the tackle and almost gets lost. Looks like a lot of overthinking.

He won't play as a freshman, he may get a few snaps, maybe, but he'll preserve a redshirt.

Nothing new on the Utah State kid?

I tried some further digging on twitter. I can't find anything about him being on or taking an OV to another school since his ND visit.

As Dale said, it's quiet and even Loy isn't saying anything about it.

Also, no more recruiting kids of celebrities or billionaires. There’s no place for Jon Bon Jock’s kid, Austin Collinsworth or Nicco Fertita if ND wants to be serious about competing.
Jessie Bongiovi was a walk-on. Austin Collinsworth was a team captain and earned it. Injuries are what hampered him, not talent. And Fertita helped bring in Alize, helped establish a connection with Bishop Gorman, and hopefully likely locked in a billionaire donor through his dad. All totaled a net gain.

Dumb point and dumber examples.

Define five star. Consensus only gets paid? What if they are a consensus five star, and the last update, ESPN drops him to a four star, does ND take his money away? Slippery slope for who gets paid and who doesn't.

I don’t consider that raw, I consider that part of the normal course of development.

Let it be known that Austin Collinsworth is a worthy representative of NKY.

Any slander of NKY, or her representatives, will hereby be met forcibly via Banhammer.

I WILL NOT TOLERATE IT.

Cris is a great dude and all his kids are good people. That said, Collinsworth had no business playing at ND.

The definition of raw hasn’t changed.

Athletic ability, size (for whichever position), but lacking in fundamentals and technique.

Every player works on the latter, it’s the normal course of development as you said, but at a certain point it’s obvious when a player is just all athleticism and size. Vernon is not the rawest prospect, but he needs a lot of coaching. But, because he’s such a football-focused dude, he’ll likely ascend faster than other raw athletes.

He was a valuable piece of a transitional recruiting class, and contributed in various ways over 4 years.

We'd be lucky if if our 'backup options' were always that productive.

Missing tackles vs Northwestern? Really productive. No, no more of that crap.

It’s because he wasn’t elite.

Most of his arguments are centred around that point.

Absolutely. Worth noting that Austin also had offers from UK, Oregon, and Stanford and came from a very good program at Fort Thomas Highlands.

He was also part of the 2010 recruiting class, and hasn’t been a part of the football program for about seven or eight years.

How far are you going to keep digging here?
They took his shovel away. He's done digging.
