It is a negative for the Safety position, if he wants to play WR. He’s a take either way, but you can’t count on him to be a Safety.

Which he is. Hillman is going to be the best Safety in this Frosh class and he’s not an O’Leary recruit.

Some people look at O'Leary and only see Bowen's decommitment and therefore he sucks.

He brought in three four-star safeties last class. However, he struck out completely in the 2022 class. It's not that he has a lot riding on his performance for this class, but he can't take a step backwards.

Old article. He talks to ND, and ND talks to him. A few schools are pushing a bit harder than ND. The staff is going to be slightly more selective with WRs this class.

Also to note. He has a sister who plays soccer at Iowa. She didn't follow her moms legacy at ND, and Emmett may not do the same thing with pops, either.

Possibility? Sure, I guess. I haven't REALLY dug into it though so I'm just guessing. But the theme that's casually blowing around is he's never been locked in on ND add to that ND never made him a pillar of the class even if they made runs at him and Cam being WR1 may have turned him off as they came up playing in the same Chicago FBU scene. The uncertainty of his position may be at play too (see Lo Styles)
