Well it certainly seems to me like they picked the right four. I'd have lost it if Dorsey were in there.

It would have been nice to see Dixon get an invite. It was the MVP would probably deserve it over any of those guys, and he still might have won the Heisman if he wouldn't have tore his ACL.

Last year the knock on Quinn is that he never won a big game. Tebow had three big games this year, losing all three (Auburn, Ga, LSU). In none of those games did a fearless Tebow lead his team from behind to score even one TD. In fact, in reviewing the UF boxscores, Tebow very rarely led his team to score in the last minute of the half or of the game. His only late first half drive in a game that wasn't a blowout already was Kentucky (if I'm not mistaken). BQ during his last two seasons had multiple drives to close out halves, and to close out games. Remember, the only reason we didn't beat USC in '05 was because BQ was TOO efficient and scored TOO quickly, (I believe he took less than a minute to drive the length of the field), as opposed to the "heroics" of Vince Young, who took much longer to score (and even then almost leaving too much time on the clock!).

Tebow hasn't done much in the clutch, hasn't won a big game, and has played one season.
Give him the Heisman. Hell, give him three.

Tebow accounted for 51 TDs. He deserves the award as much as I hate to admit it.

You are forgetting one key point though...Quinn played for Notre Dame, therefore any and all excuses that can be used against him are valid. The media will always play up Notre Dame because Notre Dame brings the viewers, but in order for ND to revieve any accolades they must be absolutely perfect. Quinn had to go undefeated while throwing 35+ TDs and fewer then 10 Ints in order to win the Heisman over Smith.

Yea but Tebow just seems like such a douche, they even had a segment on him about how he only wears crocs or his cleats. Therefore, with my unofficial vote I will have Tebow 3rd in my voting.

McFadden
Brennen
Tebow
Daniels

Everyone has a knock on them.
Brennen-System QB that played no one
Tebow-Did not win the big game
McFadden-did not play well in some games. He also split carried with Felix Jones, who averaged 9.3 a game.
Daniels-got killed by Oklahoma. They cannot give it to this kid he is more of a system QB than Brennen.

My vote would be Tebow, McFadden, Brennen, Dorsey

Tebow's numbers were ridonkulous. He deserves it for the same reason BQ did.

If it's about TD's, Brennan accounted for 63 TD's last year and could not even get invited to NYC. I believe the knock on Brennan is that the system he runs allows him to inflate his stats. Seems the exact same argument applies to Tebow. Urbie runs a system that allows the QB to hold onto the ball and inflate rushing numbers, especially TD's.

I say give it to Laws. Theres a good chance that if he weren't on our team we very well could have gone winless, I doubt Florida would have gone winless without Tebow, therefore it quite simple to see that Laws is infact the most worthy of the Heisman.

It's also about the level of competition: Brennan was able to do what he did against a very weak schedule. I mean, come on - can anyone deny that Tebow had a really, REALLY good season? Sure, it has a lot to do with the system, but the fact is that he made the most of it.

Yeah....but the Heisman is supposed to go to the best college football player....and that ain't Tebow!!! Honestly, eventhough he is hurt I would have to give the nod to Dennis Dixon. Now that dude is electric!!! Tebow is a great leader and he has a way of getting the best out of those around him, but I feel that if he was truly the best player in CFB the gutters would have won all of their games this year. I think that he has another year or two till the Heisman goes to him, if it ever does. My 2nd place would be Darren McFadden!!!

Tebow

Tebow

While I think Quinn was great he choked in 3 games last year (Mich, USC & LSU). These were very subpar performances on a big stage. Tebow's Gators lost 3 games but it was because he played badly. He has carried that offense on his back and played a very tough schedule. Dixon's numbers were average and who did they beat besides USC at home? A lousy Mich team and they lost to Cal who got beat by Stanford who got beat by ND etc. etc....

FYI, I don't like the Gators because of Urban the traitor.
