Why would Hartman wait? To see how Buchner plays? Ugh. We have to hope he shits the bed.
Why would ND wait? Can't think of anything there.
Lax has posted he wants to visit first before making it official. Pretty strange as there is no one there until school starts and he has to decide before school starts. Won't be much of a visit.

Hartman needs to visit ND at some point, and can't do it right now with the entire football operation in Jacksonville.

Might be that ND is more focused on bowl prep and waiting to host him after the bowl? Maybe?

I would guess it is a done deal, but they are waiting until after the bowl game to get him on campus and make it official. Super good sign, IMO, that he already has some NIL deals and has made good money. That way he won't be as desperate to get something in his bank account before he signs.

With our luck, Buchner balls out against SCar's B team, scares off Hartman, Angeli transfers to Rutgers, then TB blows his knee out brushing his teeth sometime late next August and we inexplicably play RPIII over Minchey next season

Still would favor ND... the environment of being in the Irish stadium - IMO

That's homerish mate.

Hartman likely won't be on campus until after the New Years weekend.

If anyone is waiting on announcement for Hartman, it likely will not occur until next week.

Anyone here actually believe an NFL-ready QB is not only going to skip the draft for another year in college, but he's going to skip it for a place where he won't get an upfront payday? Guys. Come on.

Yeah, it's hard to imagine. Hartman would be a likely late round, undraftable prospect. He could make more upfront guaranteed money through NIL in his last season than he could for the duration of his entire rookie contract.

One thing to note: Unlike, say, a defensive lineman at Western Michigan, Hartman already has sizable existing NIL deals with name-brand companies. Those would likely be far more lucrative if he were Notre Dame's quarterback than Wake Forest's. That might be enough to get him to overlook the lack of upfront cash money? I dunno. Just spitballing here.

Show me those companies/industries/WF Alumnus out of Winston-Salem that will continue to pay a ND player NIL deals?? Surely lawyers and colleges have clauses that if a player transfers/leaves/quits/drops out, etc... will lose their NIL deal(s).
