This isn't Georgia levels, but this certainly seems like a lot more than the normal team allotment. Did f***ing season ticket holders sellout again? I get we were playin' like crap, but it's no wonder if was extra quiet.

Here's some information you might not know. No one wants to come here.
I believe ND would have landed a big name had they conducted a full coaching search. Oh well, Freeman the coach so we might as well get on board

ND SHOULD NEVER HIRE AN ASSISTANT FOR HC AGAIN - WE ARE ND!

Pay for a Track Record! Full stop.

Freeman can be a great assistant and a great defensive side recruiter. But being a HC is way, way different. Everytime ND hires an assistant its been fucking kaka.

I love Freeman as a person, as a recruiter for defense and a DC - but its clear this match of him as a HC with Rees as an OC is a total shit show.

We could have had Lincoln Riley. smh
Based on what? Unless you know something I don’t, I can’t imagine him having any interest in the ND job. Plus, no guarantee his QB follows him to South Bend, IN which is not comparable to LA

2 games into a new head coach tenure and half of this board is already calling for him to be fired. You guys need to get a grip on reality. Have a little patience and stop being emotional d-bags.

There is a lot to be concerned about this year but let a little more of this season play out. Head coaching changes aren't always smooth.

No where near half, but many are calling for Rees head. That actual has some rational thought behind it. MF will get 2 years unless he finishes 0-12 and even than I doubt they fire.

If this team misses a bowl, CMF's tenure should end at 1 year. I don't believe that will happen. But if it does, he should be gone.

Rees IMO is a (professionally) dead man walking barring a miraculous turn around on offense.

I don't want him fired. It was just a lazy, emotional hire. And then hiring Rees first was a Jerry Jones move.

We were in a position where we should have been able to go out an get an established big name coach like USC was able too.

LA is a dump now, by the way. The entire city is literally experiencing white flight by everyone not homeless.

Correct. It's very possible Rees or others get fired, it's impossible that Freeman gets canned after one year. They will give him 2, probably 3.

Jimmy Lake got fired after 13 games at Washington. It is not out of the realm of possibility that it happens. IMO.

He would have to finish 1-11 or 0-12. The admin does not want the backlash that would come with that move. Plus, he deserves 2 years at minimum.

Honestly we weren’t that good last year. Got lucky to beat Toledo and Va Tech. We overestimated this team by a lot. I’m guilty, the signs were there. Now I’m looking for signs of life and improvement over the season.

I don’t think the two coaches are comparable. Jimmy got fired for more than his on-field production.
I know that's how Washington justified the firing but I don't buy that off field stuff was genuinely the reason.

Freeman was an emotional lazy hire? He was highly highly thought of, and would have been a top candidate for other jobs.

Which established big name coach would have realistically come? Fickell? Wouldn't there be some risk there with him being not as dynamic a recruiter as MF? Aside from Fickell - who is a big name coach that would have come.

(If LA is a dump, then South Bend is Kandahar)

LA is a dump. As a lifelong resident who finally left stick to Toronto and go protest Dr. Peterson. Tent cities, garbage everywhere, you know nothing about LA.
