Championship level defense was played against the most potent offense in the country. A lot of people will bash the safety blitz that led to OSU taking the lead midway through the 3rd but,that was a good gamble based of the fact that our offense looked like dog shit ALL game and clearly couldn't put up points
Held OSU to 21 Points. Hats off AL.

I liked the blitz call. Just poorly executed. Not sure what happened but the Safeties were so off the line when the ball was snapped. I can’t imagine that was by design.

I think single safety blitz would have been more appropriate, imo. But not mad at about the aggressiveness per say, just the execution.

Right, it was actually a good call.... the safeties just delayed way too long in trying to disguise it. You aren't going to fool Stroud either way, so get your ass up there and pressure him ASAP.

You'll never get to the QB when you start 50 yards away from the LOS. Okay, 50 yards is an exaggeration, but you get the point. I would have preferred a corner blitz to hide it better. It's rare to see a corner blitz, so the odds of catching them off guard is much better.
